Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on February 05, 2021We were looking for a decent place to stay two nights so we could make a visit to Crater Lake, have open sky for the satellite, and FHU's. This fit our needs. There was only one other unit there our first night. It would be a little crowded if full. Sites are back in...back to back, in a gravel lot that is very level. There is no shade. Other than trash in between every few sites, there aren't amenities. There are restrooms available, I believe. We had good E/W/S (50 amp). The fairgrounds are easy to access off the main street in town. It is a self-pay station at the camping area. The only ding was the flies. There is an open animal barn right across from the parking area (no smell) and there were flies everywhere. It was impossible to keep them from coming in when you opened the door. So we just had the fly swatter at the ready. It's then an easy hour drive to Crater Lake. The only reason I gave it four stars is because we basically had the place to ourselves.

This is OK for a quick overnighter, but I wouldn’t want to stay here any longer than that. It’s just a big parking lot at the fairgrounds and it’s pretty expensive. $30.
The gates are locked at 9 PM at night and they don’t open till 7 AM. I’m an early riser and like to be on the road by 6:00 but anything is possible for one night.
The lady is the office is super nice!

We wanted a full hook up camping site for the night before our 2 week boondockiing adventure. Site has water to top off our tanks, sewer to dump, 20a/30a/50amp to charge our batteries to 100%. And most importantly using the 50amp to stay warm in the lows of 15-20 degrees. We were the only ones using the camping area in Feb on a Thursday. If your a light sleeper the road noise might be to much for you.

Looks to have been completely renovated. Stayed for a night and there were a lot of spaces unused. Each site has water, dump and power up to 50amp. Gates close at night. You can get out through an auto gate but not back until next morning. Could not find a bulletin board or pay station but my guess is they will put one up very soon. There were not even assigned site numbers yet.
