The Kingsport Carousel Project began in 2008 and has now involved around 400 volunteers from Kingsport and many surrounding communities. Volunteers have worked tirelessly with the goal of creating and operating a carousel for Kingsport. The Carousel features hand-carved wooden animals and chariots and original paintings on a refurbished/rebuilt 1956 Herschell frame. Rides=$1
There isn't too much to do in Kingsport. This was a fun find if you haven't ridden a Carousel in years. Kids will especially like this. It has a wonderful carving history. It only costs $1 per ride. The gentleman running the carousel was great to talk to.
