Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on September 06, 2017This spot consists of a little asphalt parking lot situated on Pass Lake. Located right in the Loveland Pass, it offered stunning views with beautiful hiking paths. Because it is right off route 6, you get some traffic noise, but nothing crazy. Most visitors seemed to be tent campers or hikers, with tent sites located around the lake. If the parking lot is empty, a 26' foot trailer could pull in, turn around, and have a comfortable space to camp. It would become more difficult if there are other cars present. We camped here with just our van, no trailer. There are no facilities and Verizon signal was spotty. It ranged from 1x to no signal in parking lot, to 2 bars 3G if you walked out into the woods more.

Listen all of y'all it's a sabotage! And by that, I mean that this place, at least as described in the previous review, is no longer a go. There is now a fence around the parking lot and a sign specifically implying you can't camp there. Think red circle, tent symbol, and a red line through it all.
However, just down the road, closer to GPS 39.6552, -105.8781, is a pull out that has ample room for multiple small campers, or if it's empty even two - three snugly arranged Class As. Tent campers could have their fill of shaded or bushy sites, too. Clean little spot with stone fire places and grandiose views.
Cell was banging, at least AT&T. Verizon was not happening. Sorry VWZers, finally AT&Titians get a break!
There's a noise making factory here, though, in the form of a highway that is constantly, even into the night, traveled heavily by big rigs and 4running explorers alike.
