Sun Outdoors Key Largo

Staff was helpful and thoughtful and sunset from covered deck was beautiful. That is why the park gets 2 stars. Mostly permanent trailers and apartments. Bathroom is very small and no windows or fan. Laundry is excellent. Parking is so tight you can hear everything happening next to you. Sites are gravel. The road in the campground is a single lane therefore parking is tough for a big rig.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s extremely pet friendly, the staff and people who live here full time are awesome. There’s one bathroom that has AC a great shower. Free kayak and bike rentals, propane grill area and really quiet at night. Laundry room, ice machine and private beach too. Only downside is for big rigs-it’s a one way road that is pretty tight. No problem for our truck camper. Motel is nice too. Absolutely no complaints. WiFi was very strong the closer you are to the beach.

Want to start by saying every staff member we encountered were extremely nice!!! Unfortunately, this resort was not up to its listing. Every amenity that was important for our stay didn’t exist, falsely advertised. No dog beach… no beach at all. There’s zero water access, if you wanted to launch a kayak or paddle board you had to traverse a pile of rocks, very unsafe! And there’s a sea growth that stinks to holy heck that surrounds this campground. Our site D19 we opened our door to a strong smell of sewer which prompted me to call for help! Arrived quickly only to tell us it’s nature not a sewer leak. It’s did have a pretty partial view, large end lot we paid extra to reserve, however we couldn’t let out our awning as the planted palm trees that your awning will hit so if you have a large awning like ours, Tiffin Phaeton, your SOL. And the given pergola has slats no roof so it doesn’t offer you shade. Lovely campground that’s under construction. Be very careful, we found several rusty nails in our rocks. I think this will be a wonderful place someday for the owners of the houses they’re building but be warned, it’s currently as of April 2023, under construction and the homes block most the water views.

Park looks recently updated. Our class is 35 feet and access is tight but possible. Beautiful covered patio that looks out the west. We are here in May and enjoyed our stay.
