“Come Explore”
A large community park helps protect forest and wetland habitat for animals such as snapping turtles, frogs, crows, grey squirrels, red-tailed hawks, blue herons, ducks, white-tailed deer, and many others. There are two picnic shelters, walking trails, a sand volleyball court, a playground for the kids, a fishing pier, and more.
We picked a bad time to go here. The playground was flooded which was odd because the rest of it was not flooded. There is a pond with a dock and a lot of room. We would have enjoyed the dock and space but there were campers everywhere. However, a different day, I think this would have been a good stop for small kids and fur babies. There are restrooms but we didn’t use them. Not many other stops in this area so it was fine.
