We picked this spot because it's close to Fossil Butte NM and American fossil where we found some nice fish fossils. If you have dogs there is a nice area to walk your furry friend along the river.

Gravel, paved and lawn surfaces. Full hook ups with cable. Open WiFi. Many full time residents. No showers or restrooms in case you have a mini rig. No tents. None of the parks in Kemmerer have showers.

We stayed here one night so we could visit the nearby Fossil Butte National Monument and found this park to be adequate for this purpose. The sites are mostly recently paved and level. The utilities worked, the owners were helpful and accomodating. Don’t let the nearby train tracks concern you. The number of trains was fairly low and for the most part they rumbled through fairly quietly, no loud horns (we are particularly sensitive to noise at night and had no issues here.) We were pleasently surprised by the little town of Kemmerer. There are several small local museums and galleries that show and sell local fossil art. The nearby Fossil Butte National Monument visitor center is definitely worth a visit and if you are adventurous, there is a scenic loop (high clearance vehicles only, 17% grades 😱 and cliffs with drop offs - needless to say we didn’t try this and relied on the ranger’s description to dissuade us.). Also, the “Mother Store” for the JC Penney chain is located in town, and it is still a fully functional small town department store!
Verizon cell service was adequate for video streaming. AT& T only gave us 3G 🤒

Every park has it's up & down side. The Riverside RV park comments on the 3 parks in Kemmerer Wy. caused us to take a look @ Riverside 1st. We looked no further. A good short stay on our way through on US30.
Gravel roads w/ paved sites. We stayed in #7. 5 others were open @ 2pm on Friday. Drive thru w/FHU was $35. Didn't use wifi or tv
Typical of many parks today, because of covid-19, choose an available nightly site put $ in your filled out envelope, put that in the box or mail slot.
They didn't call back on messages left, so had to check it out.
Concerning locating, it's US189 north off of US30 cross the bridge over the tracks, then the river. Next right to end of the road, left turn & office is on the right.

I'm about done with Campendium. I can't believe people give 5 star reviews for a gravel pit or dust bowl. I stayed here because I couldn't find anything else available in the area. The owner was nice, but she wasn't here. I talked to her on the phone and she told me how to self-check-in. I cannot believe people get away with charging $40 a night to park in a dust/gravel lot with no bathrooms, no showers and they are not even here to collect the money!!!
I do have full hook-ups, but I am solar powered and carry my own water. I don't need FHU. The place is packed. I stayed at a Walmart last night and it was much nicer than this "campsite."
It's quiet. It's by the river, though you can't see the river from the campsite due to a large burm in between. I've stayed in State and County parks for 1/3 the price, with beautiful scenery, campers spread out, some connection to nature. This is just gravel. I guess it is par for the course in WY. I've stayed at a couple other expensive campgrounds that are also just gravel and dirt.
I won't pay again to park in a "campground" that looks like a drive-in movie lot from the '50's. I'll go to Walmart or Planet fitness or Cabellas and stay for free at a place that has much better scenery.

Pulled in after hours. Easy pay envelope system (cash/check only- credit cards need to call). Basic level pull through slot. Water and electric is included. Dump is $10 extra, no showers or bathrooms. Easy on/off the highway. The trains do run close by but I didn’t mind. Not fancy but it’s a good safe spot for a night.

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in the site #D-4, a FHU, PT site. While the road is gravel, there is an asphalt pad for under the rig. It was a basically a campground on a large parking lot with FHU’s. This was just an overnight spot for me on the way to Grand Teton NP. Sites are very close together. I would recommend taking one of the sites B1-5 which are back in sites along the river. You can’t see the river from the campground, but they have some afternoon shade. I had 2 bars LTE Verizon, 19.2mbsp download speed, didn’t check OTA channels and no wifi. No bathhouse but there were two port-a-potties behind the main building. It is close to Fossil Butte National Monument and it is worth the 20 minute drive to get out there. They had some very unique fossils to see.
