This was a great stop! The self-guided audio tour was fascinating, but we had to leave early because our daughter is autistic and we forgot her noise cancelling headphones and the noises and exhibits were overwhelming for her. It is still an interesting stop without the audio tour. We fed MASSIVE carp and catfish - the fish food was only $1 in the gift shop. The souvenirs were cool and cheap. And there is a penny smasher!
The tour is about $12. If you choose no do the self guided tour, you can still check out the gift shop and use the clean bathrooms. There are also a few picnic areas (even by the water) and a big maze to play in.
Quality museum, probably better for our 9 year old than our younger kids. Nice bathrooms and gift shop. If it had been warmer out, we would have been content just exploring the trails and grounds by the Archway and skipped the museum.
Good Museum, was a good little walk after a long morning in the car. the museum opens your eyes to just how much History started from this Jumping off point, the little scenery sections were well done and the verbal descriptions were well done, even waited at the diner for Flo to serve us, Also there is an outside walk about go down to the river and feed the fish (buy food inside) some neat sculptures on the other side of the river, the statue with the 2 boys on the horse is a good little story take your time took us about 1 1/2 hrs
A fantastical journey through our countries rich history including the pioneer trek west, the transcontinental railroad, the development of the Lincoln highway and so much more. A treat to see. Also, there is a sweet maze by the parking lot! Definitely a worthwhile stop.
Cool bridge with Motel and gift shop inside! Water nearby.
Awesome stop along the road! Oh my we enjoyed it! Very informative and an experience. A little credit is given to settlers of color and some recognition about what Natives lost.
I had no idea what to expect and honestly set the bar pretty low. I was pleasantly surprised. The technology and audio tour was super cool. Informative and interactive museum of the evolution and westward expansion from the pioneers to current- as the lady at the counter explained “from a wagon to a drive thru.” Takes about 45 minutes but it’s at your own pace. Highly recommended.
12$ to go up??

Clean bathrooms
Cool fish to feed by the bridge
Worth 5 dollars to get in. But senior's pay 11. Husband didnt even botherro turn headphones on.
