Grant Lake Dispersed Camping

4-5 close spots, no trailers but maybe rv’s, camp fire spots and shore all around for fishing or what have you.

From hwy 395, drive about one mile on a dirt road to reach the lake. We arrived late in the afternoon on a Saturday, and there were about 8-10 RVs already parked near the lake. I assume this was their second night. So we parked a little further from the lake. The view of the lake and the beautiful mountains with a little snow on top was perfect. We'd go back! No AT&T cell service near the lake, but we took a walk to a slightly higher elevation and got one bar of LTE which allowed calls and data. Some RVs ran generators until 10pm, which was a bit annoying, but that was the only negative.

We did not use the exact area recommended, it looked a little steep and grading downhill. We instead went down about a mile and found an even better site right on the water. Road was easy to get down (dirt and bumpy but expected)

There was probably a dozen others there, rocks already for campfires. Great views awesome boondocking!

Stayed here with our truck camper. Dirt road in with some ruts and rocks. We made the mistake of driving through a big loose gravel/sandy area and almost got stuck. A bunch of other cars were parked there but we have a pretty heavy setup that almost buried us in the sand so be careful. We also watched a Class A drive into the same area and had to get help getting out. We got a spot on the lake for the night. About 6 or so other RVs spent the night around us. Water was clear and refreshing. Views were amazing. Verizon had one bar but kept telling me I was offline.
