Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 23, 2019We booked our stay over Valentine’s Day weekend to check out the Julian area. Our site was a pull through site with partial hookups. They did have full hook up sites but they seemed to only be for long term residents. Lots were close together so get to know your neighbors. It was a quiet and wonderful spot. Definitely would stay again.

This is my 3rd trip in my new camper. I’m finding as a new camper, I really need ask important questions prior to book. My camp site was difficult to get into at Pinezanita, it was close to the main hwy which kept us awake most the night! The website states they close at 8pm . They close at 7:30 pm sharp! no exceptions, although they started otherwise on the phone while booking. This is not a full hookup campsite. They have two dump stations. They have one main restroom and multiple port-a-potty’s . Now for the “plus” about Pinezanita, they have plenty of shade. Grounds are kept up. Bathroom are 3/5. The pond is small and muddy, but they boys seem to enjoy fishing around it. The camp ground offered a lot of shade. The trees are beautiful!
The location is 1.5 hours of the 15 fwy. WiFi is slow. The camp ground is 3 miles from a nice little town called Julian. It’s famous for the most delicious pies. Great way to spend the afternoon. 5 miles in the other direction is a lake. You can camp, rent boats and fish for the day.
