“easy hike, hot springs”
Located seven miles north of Jemez Springs. One of the most heavily visited of primitive hot springs. Large parking lot on the east side of highway 4, follow the short trail down to the river and up the other side to the springs. Spring maintains 95 degree temps.

This is a great hot spring...not sure what the problem is with the nudity. Being nude is not disrespecting any one.....but then most Americans are pretty prudish. I've seen both bathing suits and nude there together.
Very nice natural hot spring. Short walk, takes about 10 mins to walk down and then back up to the spring. There is a small cave that is tall enough to sit in and it is the warmest inside. The bottom of the pools are mostly rock/ sand with a little plant matter.
The 2 main pools outside are warm and just over the knee deep. We went in November, so it was a little chilly, but going inside the cave was wonderful with the views. It's a great place to check out and meditate, or just take in the beauty of the area. Small parking lot, but it was able to accommodate our 25' camper just fine. Definitely worth a stop if you are a fan of hot springs
Easy and beautiful day trip from Santa Fe. Easy, short hike from main road. We were the only persons at the springs (early October). Loved it.
Tried to stop by on a Friday just after lunchtime. A guy in the parking lot who was just coming down from the springs said there were a few nudies up there. So I opted not to take my kids up. Kind of bummed we missed seeing it, but do beware that this place is evidently still occasionally clothing-optional.
The guy behind the counter at a nearby gas station agreed, noting that they sometimes have problems at the springs with people who "don't respect other people or the land," though he was quick to point out that there are no problems with most visitors.
Really want to go here
Not much room to sit and the water was barely warm. The hike to the springs was also much longer and tougher than I expected (in swim trunks and sandals).
If I had to do it again, I'd skip it.
