Visited as part of a day trip to see this and Kilgore Waterfall (which is part of the same Maryland state park but a 10 min drive up the road). Easy hike for my 6 and 8 year old boys. The rocks offer a beautiful view and you can chose your comfort level with heights. The points further out on the rock are amazing views but those who are more conservative will still enjoy the views from the trail.
Rocks State Park is full of dense forests and massive boulders rising above Deer Creek. There is the "King and Queen Seat" that is a natural 190 foot rock outcrop that was a gathering place for the Susquehannock Indians. There are beautiful trails to walk along and picnic tables to sit and have lunch at. All in all a beautiful place to spend the day.
