Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on March 30, 2024Nice and clean, no staff available on site but we're super friendly and accommodating over phone. Only downside was being so close to the busy road, so a bit noisy at night, and the entire area under construction...not the fault of Fleetwood! I would def stay again if going thru Jacksonville!
The main draw here is being so close to downtown Jacksonville. 20 minutes to downtown, and it would be faster if construction wasn't so bad on 95 right now. We were in town for doctors appointments, and it was much closer than other parks in the area. Any shopping you needed was 5 minutes away, including a great local market for meat and produce around the corner called Freshfields Farm.
It's an older park, but very well maintained, with nice staff and full hookup utilities at every site. We didn't test the wi-fi, cable tv, or showers. The bathrooms looked a bit dated, and you needed a key to get in them, which is provided at check-in.
The overnight/short term sites are all on concrete and close together, up front facing a relatively busy road, so if you're sensitive to noise that would be an issue. The other sites are behind that row, on grass, and are monthly RV sites. The RVs weren't in terrible shape for many being permanent, and we felt safe and welcomed walking our dogs anywhere in the park.
If you have things to get done in and around the city, it's a solid option, but don't expect much room between you and your neighbor, or a peaceful outdoor experience. It's that utilitarian place to park near everything, that we all need sometimes.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It's right in Jacksonville so it was close to where we needed to be during our visit in September 2014. The majority of the park is either mobile homes or long-term RVers. The front of the park is for the short-term visitors. The staff was very friendly and all the amenities worked fine. The lots are pretty small so our neighbor's awning was almost touching our slides. Fleetwood RV Park advertised free wifi but during our stay it was unusable. Either it would not let us on or else once on, it wouldn't let us do much surfing before it stopped working. The RV park is located right off a main road so there is a fair bit of road noise and there's a train that passes nearby in the early mornings. If you're a light sleeper the noise may bother you. We'd probably stay at a different RV park a little further from Jacksonville the next time we're in the area unless we absolutely have to be close to downtown.

Served our purpose as we needed to be in town to visit friends. On a busy road, our concerns about road noise, wife is a light sleeper, were unfounded. The road seems to calm down as the sun sets. Mostly full timers with some very raggedy rigs behind the transient sites. All of the rigs near us were very nice. The staff lives on site and were very friendly. Check in was easy.

Paid $45 a night for 3 nights. Full hookups (50amp, water, sewer). We arrived after hours but all the paperwork was prepped for us. Kinda tricky taking a big rig (42 ft 5th wheel) through the park to circle back around to the front row. Only the front 8 or so spots are reserved for nightly/weekly stays. The rest of the spots are monthly or annual with mobile homes in the back.
We were concerned about being on the front row next to a busy road. It wasn't too bad. Most of the traffic noise died down at night and we only woke up a couple times to some sirens or loud motorcycles. Our site 1A was the first spot right by the entrance/exit and the dump station so throughout the day we did hear a lot of traffic going through. But not much at night.
The sites are a bit tight next to your neighbor and on the shorter side. We fit our rig but the truck stuck out into the road for parking. There's enough room but it's a bit smaller.
We stayed at this park because we thought we would want to be close to downtown Jacksonville. No particular event or anything we wanted to visit. We just didn't do much research so we figured being close to town made sense. After staying for a few days we probably wouldn't stay here if we did it again. There's just not that much to do downtown and it's kind of a dumpy city with abandoned buildings and homeless people all over. The beaches are much more exciting and even though they aren't very far to the beaches from this location, we'd rather spend a little less at the state park closer to the beach.
It was nice being just down the road from a Walmart and Publix. We made several quick runs to the store. And we got Propane around the corner at Ace Hardware.
Only issue was that our Verizon jetpack had a pretty weak signal. AT&T was better. Enough to do video calls and stream Netflix but not very quick at downloading and loading websites/email.

Looks like a fresh review is needed. Fleetwood is like a number of 'hybrid' parks we've found around the country these days. Maybe a thriving mobile home park decades ago, it's now morphed into a soup to nuts park where tired mobiles, inert RVs ancient to modern and a few of us transients all settle in together. Over and over, we find this kind of park now, which seem to be an unplanned semi-solution to the housing crisis and, it turns out, apparently a viable business plan. But while the traveling RV spaces are only 8 and immediately adjacent to busy (aka: noisy) U.S. 1, it is mostly quite a friendly 'neighborhood', their maintenance staff seems busy and numerous, and the office staff has been effective and helpful. Just don't expect the typical 'RV Park'. We would certainly stay here again, and the traffic does seem to seep away from one's consciousness as the stay continues.
All but one of the transient spaces are pull-thru's and arranged at the front of the park. Especially if you have a larger rig, advance reservation to confirm you'll be able to manipulate things to your assigned space is necessary. The sites are narrow and about 60' in length, concrete pads and bordered by tired grass. Stays are possible from one night to as long as you want. Cell coverage is decent, the two wifi servers have almost always allowed streaming despite the many residents - 7A and 8A have good line of sight to one wifi antenna - and the laundry and restrooms are somewhat tired but kept clean and quite serviceable. If you have plans to receive shipped items here, that can prove a bit dicey...or at least it has during this Christmas period when there are lots of sub drivers that don't know the ropes. The office will not accept shipped items but the regular delivery folks know the site numbering system and will place packages on your site picnic table. A security concern and/or a convenience, depending on how you look at it.
The dog park is small and hardly a real answer. But if your pooch needs a romp, travel 1 mile to Lovelace Park and enter the unmarked, unsigned but very dog enticing trails hidden behind the playground and walking path. A great Publix grocery - aren't they all? - is about a mile away, tho' it feels a bit further if the traffic is heavy. U-Haul is half a block away and does propane fills. Walmart is only a mile in the other direction and is, well...your typical Walmart. Access to I-95 and so the entire Jax highway ecosystem is quite good tho' distances can be long. While not where you would prefer to relax and unwind after a long day on the road, Fleetwood seems to be good value, has felt safe, and offers all the basics and then some while needing to be in Jax proper. Somewhat surprisingly given our initial impressions, we liked being here.

The review from 2020 pretty much sums it up. Not much has changed. Spots are concrete pull-thru sites. Noise from cars is noticeable but didn't bother us. Starlink works great 198 Mbps 39 latency. Only negative for this park is the drug deals that I saw in the back of the park. Good place for a night or two.
