Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 31, 2021This is a nice little park right on 20 on the way to Yellowstone. The sites are semi level gravel with grass, awesome water pressure and 50 amp. There is no sewer in the lower area as it’s to low for their septic. They have free WiFi which was needed as cell, even boosted, was hard to get. VZ was non existent but I was able to get decent ATT boosted. There is some road noise but, it’s right off the highway! The owners are a hoot! They have a small coffee shop and pizzaria on site and man, they can make a pie! We will definitely stay here again!

After staying at Buffalo Run RV Park for many years in Island Park I sadly have to report this is NO longer the nice mom and pop RV park that it has been for many years,, the owners sold out and the place is under new ownership,, I had reservations made months in advance to stay in May and Sep 2021.. the. Website has been broken and is still broken and unusable .. I only found out the place had been sold by reading a post on a FB group.. after trying to contacts the new owners for over two months we finally got in contact Teton Resorts in Victor Idaho that bought out the place.. we had to pay in full for our 8 day trip.No mention that laundry facilities aren’t available and NO military discount nor GS discount .. The previous rate was $50 a night and this is what we confirmed our reservation at.. this is what we should have paid but new owners charged $65 nightly and $70 weekend… And this is with NO sewer hookup… power and water only and NO Wifi.. the existing building where the washers and driers were located at has been gutted and nothing is really being done at this time for renovations that we saw in our 8 day stay.. I do not recommend anyone booking a reservation at at Buffalo Run RV park under its current conditions and prices charged for services offered This was a nice Mom and Pop RV Park for years that has been ruined by new ownership (Teton Resorts in Victor Idaho)

We are full-timers in a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow and needed a base in the area to hike and visit Yellowstone NP. We would have liked to be closer to Yellowstone, but CGs in the area book up quickly. We stayed in site 22 for 3 days in late July. The sites all looked fairly level. There is a quite bit of road noise from US-20, particularly at the upper sites where we were. The lower sites may be quieter and have grass and trees next to the gravel pad. The upper sites are all basically a gravel, sand and dirt lot, which got rather messy when it rained and splashed all the way up our basement doors. This could probably be remedied with another layer of just gravel. That said, the CG is undergoing some major renovations, so maybe things will improve. AT&T coverage inconsistent, ranging from 1-3 Bars of LTE, but service ranged from about 2.5 MB/s to no data service at all. The CG’s WiFi performed similarly. T-Mobile had 1 bar of 4G/LTE, but no data throughput to speak of. We were able to get DISH coverage on all three western satellites at our site. There were no OTA channels to be had with our fixed omni antenna.
There isn’t much in Island Park, but West Yellowstone about 28 miles away.

We were looking for a place to get water and electricity after being in US forest for a few days. We got a spot on the lower section which had trees and slight buffer from road noise. Camp host were awesome! There is a lot of changes at the upper level with building tiny homes but it was minimal. We enjoyed the area alot. We drove the Mesa scenic road and went to Harriman State Park since we had already visited Yellowstone. This area is fly fishing hotspot but only for very experienced, we were told. Site was level with gravel.

Tried to fill fresh water here but when I called they stated that they are no longer an RV park, only cabin rentals.
