Our site was moved twice after booking though. They seem to try to rearrange for the needs of their full time guests. Beautiful area with an abundance of forest, lakes and waterfalls.
Occasionally, the passing ATVs kick up a bit of dust which may affect sites on the west edge of the campground. Not too obtrusive as most are not too noisy.

Klint Safford Memorial RV Park - 50 E Genesee St., Iron River, MI 49935 (888) 879-4766 - Space 27 - 80' Long - 30 Amp site.
Great in-town location. Big Rig friendly. Asphalt streets/parking. Separate 30 or 50 Amp spaces. Some with FHU. Others with just E/W. Cable included. RV Park ran by the Chamber of Commerce. Showers are located below the Chamber of Commerce offices. Semi-private showers. There are no locks on the individual men's or women's bath house doors but locks are on main entry doors into the bath house (hope that makes sense). Firewood is available ($6 a bundle). Fire rings, picnic tables on site. Boardwalk into town. Daily, Weekly, Monthly Rates available. 32 spaces available. A few of the back-in sites had full-timers living there. Maybe 4-5 units. A few travels came and went over the week.
D- $30 or $35; W- $180 or $210; M - $540-600 (depends on site selection).
There is a dump station on site if a site is w/o FHU. No objections to RV Wash. Firewood $6 a box.

Iron River is located in the Upper Peninsula on the West side of the state. It is a convenient location to take day trips to Iron Mountain, Ironwood, Houghton, Copper Mountain, L'anse, Escanaba, and Marquette. All within about 1-1.5 hours.
While in Iron River, be sure to stop for a Pasty at Pasty's on the corner of Hwy 2 and 8th Street.
This town is smaller with no Walmart or big box type stores. Go to Iron Mountain for Walmart or Ram Dealership. About 45 minutes away. Iron River does have a few fast food joints.
Noise is not offensive but noticeable. The park is 1 block off of Hwy 2 (Main street thru town).

Check in was with the host who wasn’t home. So we went to the site on our reservation and the host found us as we were setting up. We had a back in slot but some drive through sites were available, all nicely spaced. There was water and electric (30 amp/20 amp) for $33.50. They had a free dumping station for campers. No other amenities were present. It is close to a nice walking trail along the Iron River and a disc golf course. It appeared to have mostly an older set or long term campers. There is an ATV trail nearby so a few campers brought their ATVs but they were not annoying. They are near a bar that has the “best pizza in the U.P.” Must be a low bar. The best nearby site is the Iron River Historical Museum which is actually in Caspian. This museum has a fantastic collection of iron mining history, log cabins, historical buildings and tools. The hidden gem here is the art collection of Lee Le Blanc originals and prints. This museum makes it worth a stop in Iron River.

Stayed for just one night heading across the UP. Pleasantly surprised with a number of things. First, the grounds are easy to navigate and fairly flat once you get in. The paved road and well defined paved sites are nice. The grass was freshly mowed and the area was clean. The hosts were very nice and helpful and stayed onsite. The location is right in town and on a bike/walking path for added convenience yet very quiet. One block from a gas station and restaurants. This place was an easy in/out and convenient gem.

Agree with all previous reviews. Very nice “city” park. Only limitation is all sites are only 30Amp and limited sewer hookup but has dump.

Great park just as you enter the UP from the south. For $35 we had, 30A electric, water, sewer, and cable. Sites are decently spaced and pretty level. Was pleasantly surprised they host a small farmers market on Wednesdays.

Great little park in iron river . The host was great . The campground is right on the highway. It is in close proximity to several restaurants. We had some delicious pizza from Keemits pizza pub and grill . The shower house is clean and a good size . Some sites have cable tv at them. Only one pull threw site . Most sites seem fairly level.. had great vzw cell coverage.
