Relax in the warmth of old fashioned hospitality away from the hustle of city life. The Balcony House Bed and Breakfast is located in the friendly town of Imperial, Nebraska, just 50 miles south of I-80 (Ogallala/Lake McConaughy) and 3 1/2 hours east of Denver. Imperial is a progressive community, home to some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Just 8 miles southeast of town is beautiful Enders Lake Recreation Area with 26 miles of shoreline. This 1700 acre lake is a wonderful uncrowded getaway to enjoy activities from fishing and water skiing to wildlife viewing. A portion of the reservoir is designated as a wildlife refuge.

I, along with five ladies, made a stop at Imperial, en route from Chadron to Omaha, to stay at the Balcony House Bed and Breakfast. The hosts are accommodating and communicative, the house is charming and adorable, and the town is quiet and simple. We could not have asked for a better place to rest and wake. I highly and absolutely suggest travelers to make a stop, even if your stay can only be one night, at this lovely bed and breakfast. And, when you're there, make sure to spend time on the front porch, drinking coffee and soaking up its peacefulness.
