The Mott Segment of the North Umpqua Trail follows the North Umpqua River, providing fishing access and scenic river views. It also provides access to trailheads for Cougar Creek Trail #1507 and McDonald Trail #1515. A toilet is provided at both trailheads. Be cautious as Poison Oak can be found along the river. Directions from Roseburg: West Trailhead) Take Hwy. 138 east to Wright Creek Rd. #4711. Take 4711 approximately 1/4 mile to the trailhead over the bridge on the left side of the road.East Trailhead) Take Hwy. 138 east to the Steamboat Work Center. After crossing the Mott Bridge, park in the Fisherman's Parking Lot. Trailhead is located to the right of the Information Board. Seasonal Information:Normally Accessible: Year-round
