The Heartland RV Park is located in the picturesque Texas town of Huntsville and is a great spot for an authentic southern vacation. Campers can look forward to a number of attractions just beyond the campground including the Sam Houston National Forest, Texas Prison Museum, Sam Houston Memorial Museum, and the Walker County Historical Commission. There are also a number of other historical sites such as the Hearts Veterans Museum of Texas, Gibbs-Powell Home Museum, and a list of great restaurants, golf courses, lakes, and bars to enjoy. 64 Pull thru and 9 back-in sites, most sites have some shade. Comfortable community room, exercise room, laundry room, streaming WIFI, cable TV, showers, dog park, and a dog wash.

Nice RV park overall. Passport America accepted. Amenities included FHU, level sites, WiFi, laundry room, playground, gameroom/gym, and showers. We didn't use the laundry room, but the showers were clean and private. RV spaces are close but not uncomfortable. Pretty quiet aside from some road noise, but not really noticeable if you're used to RV parks in general. Nice office staff. Would definitely stay again.
Points of interest nearby are the Sam Houston Statue, Sam Houston Memorial Museum, Sam Houston State University, Sam Houston grave site, Sam Houston National Forest, Texas Prison Museum, Huntsville State Park

We paid a Monthly Lot fee of $380.00 that included all utilities (cable TV, Internet & Electricity) and a abundance of amenities, ie: Game room w/ pool table, big screen TVs, Nice exercise room, laundry room and bath houses. Very well maintained and Safe RV Park out in the country. You wont find a better deal economically in that area just outside of Huntsville. You couldn't ask for better owners who also sell RV Parts & Supplies at the office. With their knowledge of RV repairs and parts they were very helpful for us & our aging 38' 5th Wheel. A Great place to live!

I enjoyed my stay here, we were passing through on a cross country trip and saw decent reviews. The place is older but very clean, mostly people staying monthly and working, very quiet. They accept passport America. Laundry room was clean.
Not much to do around here, but Sam Houston and Davy Crockett forest are about an hour away. I would definitely stay again if I’m in this area.
Staff was very friendly, my husband had to go in to pay for additional nights and they wore masks. The electrical boxes at the site were older and didn’t look well maintained. We use a surge protector and the first site read open ground but the second one read fine.

Nice and clean. We have a 41' filth-wheel and had a bit of problem moving around some of the turns. The sites are pretty level. When it rains, and it seems to always be raining on and off, the ground can get muddy. There are also some low tree branches you might have to maneuver around.
