Camden Park is a twenty-six acre amusement park located near Huntington, West Virginia. The park is home to more than 24 attractions including the Big Dipper, Little Dipper, Haunted House, Log Flume, Flying Scooter, Paratrooper, and the Bullseye. The park's newest attraction, The Rattler, is a pendulum ride. Riders are suspended from an overhead axis and experience the rush of land and sky meeting as one as they fly head over heels through dual swinging and spinning motions. Camden Park’s Kiddie Land is home to nine rides for our guests 48″ and under, including our historic Carousel, Handcars, Kiddie Whip, Kiddie Boats, Kiddie Rockets, the Umbrella Ride and Pony Carts. The park hosts a variety of events throughout the season, including live musical performances as part of the "Hot Summer Nights" concert series. Other events include the "Children's Festival," "Coca-Cola Days," and the "Halloween Spooktacular" in October.
Vintage theme park dream! Remember going here as a kid and my dad talking about going here when he was a kid! Nostalgic and awesome!
I'm a sucker for anything old-school, and this little park fits the bill. It doesn't have any recording breaking coasters, but the little wooden ride is adorable, and fun in its own way. They've got mini golf and other attractions, too.
