Quaint cabins all with kitchenettes located in Eastern Oregon. Great location 5 miles from fishing and close to big & small game hunting. 7 cabins available 3 beds per cabin and a fully furnished house available with 6 beds excellent for larger groups.
The word ‘cabin’ is misleading as it’s really just an old motel or housing. Didn’t know what to expect since we didn’t do much research. We were surprised by the neighborhood. There isn’t much see and according to one of the locals I ran into “it’s a shithole with great pot!” We enjoyed our stay. Room 5 was clean and roomy with full kitchen. Bathroom was small with a 70’s feel, toilet, sink and shower but worked fine for me and my 2 adult kids. I hope they hang some art and splash some color on the walls. It would make the room cuter. A train runs by the front quite often.
Breakfast at Howells was super yum! Fresh cut potatoes for hash browns and real sausage gravy. 5 stars! Communication with Wayne & Dottie’s was all by text message and all worked out fine. Consider the town of Huntington a ‘dive bar’. We loved it, but I also love dive bars. This Iowan recommends!
