Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 10, 2019We camped here for 5 days or so. Its a pretty easy drive in even in a RV. There are some really good spots if your lucky enough to get one, but plenty of other spots to camp that were nice. Works great for exploring Sequoia NP and Kings NP. Its located about right in the middle of the two parks so everything is a easy day drive. Camped here a few weeks ago so dont remember for sure but dont think we got cell phone or wi-fi. At least it wasn't a far drive, 20 min or so, to get some where that did. Nice and clean area, and pretty quiet. Would camp here again if visiting SNP or KNP again.

After driving 4hrs to come to this spot i was greeted by a closed gate to access the campground. Seems like alot of the grounds were closed right now in Seqioua NP. Also do not attempt to pull your rig all the way theough HWY198 very sharp turns and id say if your towing anything just turn around. I didnt read signs in time and almost severely damaged my travel trailer. Beware do research.

First of all the ranger who checked us in was so nice. He has a little dog named Peaches! He was very informative. I felt safer after he arrived. The bathrooms were nice n clean no sink just toilet n toilet paper. It even had a fresh scent. Not like the one at Hume Lake by the Christian Camp.
We stayed 4th of July night and our neighbors were quiet. We pretty much had the camp site to ourselves mostly. I read other reviews about the mosquitos it’s true. You just gotta get you some repellent. I think we had a visitor in the night it marked its territory don’t know what animal does that. Hopefully it wasn’t a small bear. I would still highly recommend camping here will definitely be back.

We came here with our trailer after staying three nights up near Grant Grove at Sunset Campground. It’s an absolutely beautiful campground but definitely remote! At 7500 feet, it gets colder at night and with the meadows and standing water nearby, the mosquitoes were definitely out. But there was an awesome granite hill to explore and not many neighbors, so it was super quiet. The only real downside was that the sites are located along the main forest service road, and while there wasn’t much traffic, the cars that did come through came quite quickly so I didn’t feel safe with my kids riding their bikes out along the road. All in all we would stay again if we had a big group of people to hang out with!
Things to keep in mind:
NO CELL SERVICE (any carrier)
NO POTABLE WATER (no spigots of any kind)
NO SINKS, ONLY VAULT TOILETS

We really liked this location. 9B was big enough, that I was actually able to turn my 31 foot class A INSIDE the space. (more than 2 point turn, but still did it)
Downside to this space was the soil in the area I turned around. Very light, created dust just walking on it.
However the awning side of the coach was on ground that was a lot more reasonable.
There is a small stream that runs close. I thought the folks in a nearby site taking there fishing poles out were nuts. Didn't look like a stream that would have fish.
They caught a bunch of small fish! They told us that the forest service stocks the area.
BTW - they were there every year for many years and they were SUPER nice.
In June you needed deet level spray. The mosquitoes attacked my wife, our dog and me. Thankfully we had one spray squirreled away.
Bathroom is vault and very clean. No running water. No cell service
I would recommend this place to others.

Towed our 22 foot trailer plus hitch with no problem. No water at all. Camp host rarely around. Good for both Kings Canyon and Sequoia NPs. Some good dispersed on the road up, too.
