Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on February 10, 2024This is our third visit to Hoquiam River RV Park and each time we return, we are made to feel like family. Denise & Gordon, the managers, go out of there way to assure everyone enjoys their visit. On the not-so-great side, the sites are very close together; but on the positive side, you are right on a tidal river and the path, along the water, leads back to a lovely, dark woods with lots of berries for picking. You'll find benches, spaced nicely along the river front, so you can sit, relax and watch for otters at play.
The club house is very nice, the laundry and showers are super clean and there are always fresh cookies waiting for you in the office. But, for my money, the best part about the place is the extensive flower pots, brimming with beautiful blooms in every color of the rainbow. A nice touch that reminds you, these folks truly care about their park and want you to feel the same.

What a delight to pull into a park where we were greeted as family, with warm smiles and homemade cookies in the office, flowers on our picnic table (A clean one! In good repair!), and quick response to an issue with our electrical connection -- and they didn't try to blame *us* for it, which was refreshing.
We also very much appreciate the support of our nation's service members and veterans with generous discounts ($25/night for FHU; rate above is regular price). Tent sites are free for active duty (length of stay not specified on park's web site).
DVD lending library and book exchange, on-site laundry (2 washers, 3 dryers, all $1.25 each), river views, walking path, wifi, propane, and probably more we didn't even take advantage of. Did not use restrooms, but they appeared at a quick glance to be clean and well maintained.
Reasons for 4-star ratings: Sites are gravel and somewhat close together, so you'll hear your neighbors, but we did not hear noise from traffic or trains. The park also lacks a little curb appeal at the main entrance, but it's an oasis once you've made it the few yards to the office.

Nice campground that's right on the river.
There are potted plants with blooming flowers throughout the grounds. The place is kept up very well. There are some permanent residents, but the management must be on top of making sure their sites stay nice as well because they looked great! Many residents had nice porches built on with potted flowers, windchimes, and more. Really lovely.
Site hookups were fine. We used the restrooms and showers which were roomy and clean.
The couple that manages the place were very nice and helpful. The gentleman even met us at our site to make sure we got setup how we like.
Great place!

You will not find a more welcome RV park to come to. The service was super from the time I called for a reservation until I drove into the driveway of the park. I don't have a fancy outfit but rather a 1970 19 foot trailer and was treated as though I were driving a $100.000 dollar motor home. Was guided into my spot and was made sure that I was satisfied, and let known that if I needed anything at all to let them know. The park was clean and well kept. They have Wi-Fi and also cable TV if needed. Super quiet even though I was parked next to the office.

Very clean campground. Great staff from front desk to maintenance workers. Community firepits, the campground provides the wood, great way to meet new people. Rain kept us a few extra nights and the office manager was able to keep us in the same site. Full hook ups, wifi was hit and miss but all we needed for what we were doing online. Can not stream any tv. Cable service is provided though. Laundry facility $1.50 each for wash and dry. Great base to leave from each day and explore the coast. They also belong to Good Sam and will sell memberships.

Very friendly hosts! Flat gravel, full hook ups, beautiful rain forest and river, but enough about that! I can't say enough about their showers!! Heated bathroom, no coins or tokens, all the hot water you need, a detachable shower head, plenty of room, heavy duty shower caddy, privacy and a chair to make it easier to shave legs! Absolutely the best one I've EVER experienced!! Thanks Nana & Papa!!

Based on other reviews and price was expecting more than was there.
Supply and demand at work as there are limited full service RV Park options in area.
Old KOA Style parking lot site layout. Most of park has extended stay folks.
Wi-fi is really bad only good signal at bathhouse.
No consumer cellular service (good service a few blocks into town).
Due to so many sites having extended stay strongly suggest calling ahead or a reservation.

Very Welcoming Staff With Warm Cookies And A Guide To Our Spot By The River. They’ve Done A Beautiful Job With The River Front And The Entire Park Is Well Groomed, Clean And Everything At Our Pedestal Worked. Nice To Have 50 Amps! Z there Are Facilities We Didn’t Use Including Showers, Laundry And Bathrooms As Well As A Large Club House, Grills By The River And PROPANE For Sale. There Are Lost Of Full Time People Living Here And They Are Around The Outside Edges Of The Park As Well As At Another Lot That May Or Not Have Any Hookups. Everyone Was Friendly. Never Saw Any Dog Poo, Loud Parties, Etc. The Highway 101 Runs By The Park And The Logging Trucks Do Make Noise But It Really Wasn’t Bad
