This place is owned by Excellon the power plant people, the resivoir is for the hydroelectric plant, it’s power and water only for hookups. Two dump stations on site easily maneuvered into.

I stayed here memorial day weekend. It was rather last minute and most places within 2 hours of Baltimore were full. This spot had a couple of small spots left. The hiking in the area is really nice, particularly the pinnacle in Holtwood which is about 15 minutes away. There is a lake for boating and fishing (no gas engines), trails, a snack shop and camp store, an AWESOME disc golf course, playgrounds, etc. The grounds are well maintained.
The campground was okay. Electric at each site, but the water was pretty far away. Shared spigots. I did not have a hose long enough, but they rent them at the camp shop for $5.00. A big rig will not fit i a lot of the spots, but my 18ft TT had no problem. I had a V shaped spot, one pad for the trailer and one for a vehicle. Lots of leaves and debris on the site so bring a rake. I would stay here again just for the amenities.

Memorial Day weekend stay. Coldest Memorial Day in area in last 70 years; temps on Fri-Sun were 55 high, with rain. Mon was sunny and 70, so didn’t get a chance to explore the campground as much as would’ve liked. Hiking trail within campground was nice, grounds were well maintained. Tight road full of one ways. My 21’ camper van was fine, imagine it was tight for the big TT. V shaped site. Water had multiple spigots, was too far away but I had my own water. 20/30/50 amp electric. Bathhouses were clean and showers had hot water (unless many took showers apparently). No parking at bathhouse however, and had to walk between sites to access directly. 2 dump stations.
Site 48 on back end. Steep drop off from the pad, so if had bike would not be able to access.
Rate very reasonable, site owned by Exelon.
Lots to do in area. Disc golf, Pinnacle overlook, Hawk point are all nearby.
Plan to come again!

Things seem to be a little disorganized. There’s new management of the campground and they’re changing policy and procedures. During office hours, instead of checking in at the front gate you have to go down to the office. After office hours you still check in at the gate.
After getting set up we needed to go to a store to get some stuff we forgot. We asked the front gate guy when the store/office closes and he couldn’t tell us. He thought maybe 8pm. We went down to the office/store and found out it closed at 6pm. (The office didn’t tell him that they are closing and he’s supposed to start checking people in? He doesn’t know what time he he’s supposed to take over check in duties?)
On the good side, there is now a water connection at every site. No more running hoses a hundred feet or fishing your hose through a pipe under the road to hook up water.
The road noise is still a problem. Unfortunately there’s nothing that can be done to fix it.
So far, all the staff we’ve met this trip is friendly and helpful.

Confusing check in process. They have a gated entrance with a building, but no one was there. I drove in and parked in a large parking lot and called the campground. If you arrive before 4:00PM you check in at the store. Proceeded to assigned site and discovered I had about 20 fe et of blacktop for a site. Backed in and had to use my Anderson levelers for side to side level. To get level front to rear I had to lower my tongue jack to within an inch left of retractable movement. Water and electric setups are about thirty feet from on the front door side. Bring extension cords and hoses. Aside from the small and strange setups this is a pretty campground . There is two bathhouse and two dump stations. Met some good people during our stay and enjoyed our week here.- I I1
