“138.6-acre urban park”
The Seminole Indian name of this 138.6-acre urban park, Topeekeegee Yugnee, means “meeting or gathering place,” appropriate for a park known for its shady picnic areas, many shelters, and a gazebo that is often booked for small weddings and receptions. T.Y. Park is home to Castaway Island water park, a full-hookup RV campground with Wi-Fi, 13 picnic shelters, an abundance of open picnic areas, and a large, open field suitable for a variety of family activities. Especially popular with our health-conscious patrons is the two-mile loop of paved pathways for walking, jogging, skating, and biking. Join our walking club and register your miles to earn incentives. Other popular areas within the park are the large shaded playground, basketball and tennis courts, the fishing pier, and the scenic lake water fountain.

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on May 07, 2019We lucked out to get 5 days here, all of southern FL is packed with snow birders now. This is a large county park with a lake and walk/bike trails, large water park, many shelters for day use. The only negatives I had were the interior roads are not well marked & it is a long stretch to get to the campground. Roads were tight but navigable with our 40' MH + toad. The kid working the office was not familiar with the campground setup and directed me to certain approach roads then just "pull right into the site ." That was wrong, should have approached from another lane to "pull right in." Had to back in instead. But this is a great park & popular for exercise enthusiasts of all kinds. Be aware, some of the sites had the utilities at the back of the site, I saw several rigs had up to 7 sections of sewer hose to reach the septic drain (many sites were very long.)

Sites are typical spacing for an RV park, but better than most. Restrooms and showers are immaculate. Trails, playgrounds, outdoor fitness equipment, and a small lake. Short drive (15 min) to beach. Too bad there's a busy railway right on other side of fence. Trains shook our coach every hour all night.

Beautifully maintained county park. If you’re staying for any length of time, you might have to move sites, but it’s worth it. Nice shower house and full hookups. When I stayed there, the trees had not yet grown in. The park can get a bit busy on the weekends, but the campground is well separated from the rest. I did not find the train/expressway bothersome although it is notable.

Clean, well kept RV campground at the back side of TY Park. TY Park is a county park in the city of Hollywood. Large, old growth trees, water park, tennis, basketball. Large open spaces and a paved 2 mile loop great for walking, running, or cycling. Office staff is very friendly and helpful. 24 hour park security rounds regularly.

Pulling in w/o a reservation the customer service provided by the staff was superior. The number of community users in the park was beyond belief as were the amenities - pool, tennis & basketball courts, fitness pavilion, 2-mile walking path, etc. The campground itself was fine and the facilities were clean; privacy could be an issue if you were staying longer than one night. Yes, there is the train and the highway noise to deal with, but once asleep it was a non-issue.

We stayed for a few days. The sites are pull through and full hook-up (50 and 30 amp). They are clean and well spaced. There are bathrooms and garbage receptacles throughout. It's deep in the back of the park so you have a little extra separation from those visiting the park and not camping. You can still access the whole park and easily and quickly. The highway is nearby and so is are the train tracks. It may be a bother to some, it wasn't for us. We'd definitely go back.

It was overall a good campground, but the train ran every 20 min all day and night. I did a full campground review on my YouTube channel. https://youtu.be/LW8XwQhrI6k

Topeekeegee Yugnee (TY) Park is located just off North Park Road. The Seminole Indian-named attraction offers visitors a chance to enjoy the Florida sunshine, all while participating in various outdoor activities. Think swimming, tennis, picnics, walking paths, and even fishing.
One of the highlights is the water park, complete with slides, splash pads, and a lazy river. The surrounding walking trails make for great exercise or a peaceful nature walk. A 2-mile loop around TY Lake provides views of various wildlife, including different species of birds.
When night falls, the park offers campgrounds for those wanting to spend a little extra time in nature. It’s very popular with RVers, as well.
We think a visit here is one of the best things to do in Hollywood FL!
