“Allegedly the world’s largest petrified tree”
The supposed world-record-breaking tree is located in the parking lot of Geronimo Trading Post. It's in several pieces, but reportedly weighs around 80 tons. Whether or not it's actually the largest, there's no denying that it's pretty dang big.
Teepees are cool and the petrified logs. But the store is a rip off. 3 times the price of the other stores we went to and the worker was RUDE!
Ok, even if it is not the world's largest petrified log....it is really big!!!
They have lots of items for sale, so if you want to buy a piece of petrified wood, they have it!!!
The worlds largest petrified tree trunk is 72.2 m long and is insitu in Bantak, Tak, Thailand.
There are old broken down cars parked in the parking lot to make it look busy. It’s not. We stopped with 4 kids excited about petrified wood. Inside was very crowded with breakables and there were no bathrooms.
The polished petrified wood was beautiful but the store was overpriced and the lady behind the counter had a rude and “I hate my job”attitude.
This place was hilarious! Didn't go into the gift shop (it looked a little suspicious) but did get some great photos
GORGEOUS and quite large pieces of polished petrified wood for sale. Umteen typical tourist trap items for sale. Good place to take a stretch and browse about.
Geronimo was a bust! Head to Petrified Forest instead.
Cute place. Lady in the store was friendly. Told us about the tree. Cute area to walk around. Definitely worth a stop in.
We bought some stuff and took some pictures. Pretty slick how they park like 5 dead cars in the lot to make it look like it’s a happening place. Lol
