Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on March 17, 2022Sage Hen is a very nice rest area with a free RV dump station on the back side of the facility. They have a nature trail and picnic spots. The only ding is that pets are NOT allowed in the picnic area. The rest area on the south side of the highway is accessible by both east and west-bound traffic.

Surprisingly quiet overnight. Lots of RVs and big rigs in back and cars sleeping up front. Everyone respectful during our stay. Highway quiets down at night. Lots of improvements underway. Large bathrooms with flush toilets. Free dump station. Many new picnic tables and looks like grass will be next. Recommend for a road stop/overnight.

We used this on our way back from the Oregon Coast.
What a great dump station.
It was clean and we didn’t have to wait.
If you want to use the water for your black water flush, you will have to provide your own hose.
It would probably be a great place to overnight if you had to.

This is a very nice rest stop. Bathrooms are very clean, and warm. Free dump station, but no potable water. We spent the night of Sept. 29, along with 5 or 6 other RVers and a few semis. Highway noise was barely perceptible with our windows closed. It got down into the upper 20s at night, and we woke up to a thin blanket of snow.

The Dump-Station at the Rest Stop is closed. There is no drinking/potable water that can be put into an RV at the Rest Stop. (Come to think of it, we couldn't find a working drinking fountain at the Rest Stop.) They used a backhoe and stacked a lot of heavy concrete blocks right on top of what used to be the Dump-Station, so don't look to make use of that any time soon. We drove to the Store/RV-Park at Riley, a few miles away, and paid $5 to fill our fresh water tank from the same faucet they use to water the lawn.
The dump station is no longer here
Stayed one night. Cell phone service was good. No dump or water. Lots of space to walk your dog and park your rig. Pretty quiet for the most part. Nice and lit as well.

This is one of the nicest rest areas I’ve stayed overnight in. Bathrooms are large and very clean. Lots of picnic tables with some in shade of large trees. About 10 rigs where there with us. We felt very safe. Before we left in the morning we hiked about a ½ mile up a well marked hiking trail that sign said was a 6 mile loop. We saw several bird watchers. Not much along hiway 20 between Bend and Burns...so this was a very nice surprise. Will definitely stop again on next trip. No water or dump.

Perfect place to stop for the night with a 45’ fifth-wheel. A great place to walk the dogs too. The bathroom facilities looked nice but we did not use them. We didn’t get free TV reception but we did get 2-3 bars of AT&T phone reception to watch Netflix. Would stay here again.
