Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 08, 2021We needed a hook-up site on the Friday of Labor Day weekend. Hillsboro Campground and RV Park was on our route and had space. It's a typical urban RV campground with pull through sites right next to each other in tight rows. The campground is located right on Interstate 29 and has a lot of traffic noise. A number of sites had long-term or seasonal campers, several of which were rather messy looking. The bathrooms were clean and updated but not fancy.
On arrival the campground host greeted us and invited us to choose an open site. Payment options were cash or check, no credit cards accepted.
There's a row designated for overnight guests that is shaded, level and graveled. We wanted to use our satellite so we set up on the south side in a row that was mostly dirt and grass and not totally level. There is a cell tower in the lot next door so our Verizon signal was both strong and very fast. The campground wifi was adequate for email and social media, we didn't try to stream anything.

I am here doing the beet harvest for American crystal sugar. The campground is right off interstate 29 and you can definitely hear the traffic and at times feel the ground shake from the semi ‘s. It’s part of the unbeatable experience though and they put you up here as part of the job. I think if I was just passing through I would stay Hereford a night but that would be all.

Best place around and the lowest weekly rate around. Heads & shoulders above what Grand Forks had to offer.
My site was very long and level. Approx. 70 feet. Not much rock on it but they were adding rock to the the three main driveways.
The electric worked great, water pressure was just right, and sewer hookup was threaded with a cap.
The free wifi was 10 up & 5 down on average with plenty of speed for streaming. I do use a wifi Camp Pro II wifi booster and it consistently improves performance.
Yes, if you have no fan or a/c, or any type of “white noise” AND have you windows open, you will hear the interstate. Big rigs are loud and large. Life happens.
AT&T cell service was excellent as there is a tower just South of the campground.
I too am here for the beet harvest and find that the positives always outweigh the negs, IF you just look with a positive attitude and be grateful for the FREE full hook up site with free wifi, laundry facilities, and plenty of room to walk the dogs.
I loved the trees and the wonderful family that owned the place!
