Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on January 17, 2023At the time of writing, several things about the overall entry for this park on Campendium are incorrect. It's listed as 20A power, but all the regular sites have at least 30A and several have 50A. There are some oddball sites at the ends of the pavilions and such that just have 20A and my Airstream unit has used a few of those when we have more trailers than sites but for the most part this is a full-hookups park.
The sites could be a bit better maintained... in my site and a couple of others, the gravel drive is getting overgrown with grass so it's hard to see your line while getting the trailer on the site. Really they just need to come in and top off the gravel and level some of the sites a bit. Many of the sites are pull-through, but not all.
There's actually decent wifi in the park that's included in your site fee, and all the major mobile carriers have good signal here. If you're an over-the-air TV junkie you may not like it here, at least with my amplified omnidirectional antenna I didn't pick up any stations. The heavy shade makes many sites unsuitable for satellite TV but the sites on the north edge of the park look like they have a decent view of satellites, especially if you have an antenna you can put in front of your rig instead of just on top.

Great place to stay for a couple of days. There are a few places in town worth seeing and some good food. The park is well cared for, well lit, 25$ FHU 20-30-50amp. Good Verizon and free park streaming wifi.

We stayed here for 8 nights with our three small children while traveling for work. The park is beautiful and calm. It’s a 10 minute walk to the cute little town that has a couple of great restaurants and boutiques. The trail around the park and the playground aren’t too busy but had a steady flow of visitors almost every day which was great for my kiddos. They made lots of new friends playing on the brand new playground. The spot had full hook ups and great WiFi.

Easy pull through sites (mostly), and less than a half mile from the quiet little western town of Hico. Level parking and nice picnic table pad. No campsite fire ring (we use propane anyways). Water and power pedestal were in good working order. Dump cap wasn’t broken and on tight, but we experience an occasional light odor... Bathrooms were clean and had hand soap, TP and paper towels. Showers could use a few additional hooks or small shelves; and there was a little standing water. Plenty of hot water! Mosquitoes... well we did have a variety bug sprays w/DEET, it helped a lot. At night in the open lawn area - nothing helped (campsite area was fine though). Some of the camp ground street lighting was really more than needed, but not too overwhelming. We would like to stay there again sometime but probably not for more than 2-3 days. Friendly town and great little gourmet popcorn store. The weather was pleasant, breezy and mostly sunny and overcast at times.

The RV sites are not bad. Some are a little tight. The restrooms and showers are public and run down a bit. The park itself is nice, the playground is really nice for the kiddos. You're only a half mile from "downtown" and the Billy the Kid museum. Good T-Mobile signal (3-7mbps download) and slightly less for Verizon

This is a quaint city park that they have added rv sites to. We didn’t know what to expect, and we’re pleasantly surprised when we pulled up to find a tree lined park. It was made even better by the fact the city did their Halloween festival the same night. We really enjoyed watching everyone descend on the park in their costumes and did old fashioned hay rides, games and even a cake walk. Generally I think it is extremely quiet and will definitely be a place we come back to visit.
