Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 09, 2018Right off the NE shore of Hayden Lake, this 16 site campground was shaded and mostly quiet. Paved road but gravel parking spurs, only 2-3 were just big enough for my parents’ 32’ RV. Many were unevenly sloped and we had a hard time leveling our tiny pop-up tent trailer, but it worked out. Several nice tent-friendly sites. There is a horseshoe pit down a path which overlooks the water. Vault toilets that didn’t stink in the July heat, and a water tap with extra water bucketswere available on-site. Large firepits and picnic tables in good repair.
The only ‘bad’ part was that it is a 8-10 mile drive on windy roads and no public beach swimming access. This was 10 miles away at Honeysuckle Beach (very nice & VERY crowded). Although a supposedly great fishing shore right across the road from the campground (we didn’t fish) and light canoe or kayak launch into the weeds/lilypads was available as well.
If you are looking for a beautiful setting and quiet enjoyment of nature, this place well-worth the trip.
**Know your site # when you pull in, some spurs face left, some right; the host can tell you which way to go on the road.**

We stayed here for two nights in mid July. Dry camping in a very dense and lovely forest.
The paved County road in is twisty but folks are generally driving safely. The campground was very quiet. The smoky skies scared a lot of folks off. We took a lot of walks and cooked outside. No open fires. Propane okay.
Hard to get access to Hayden Lake. Lots of wildlife. Whitetail deer all over.
We’ll be back.

Middle of nowhere. The road coming in has serious curves and switchbacks and is pretty narrow. But I was able to tow a 37’ 5th wheel up there. And that’s about the biggest rig you’ll get in there. Site 14 was able to fit us, but most of the sites could not have. NO INTERNET. You’ll get absolutely no cell reception and the trees are very tall and dense, so starlink was a no-go as well.
