“experience a tradition of El Salvador”
Welcome to Pupuseria El Cerro Verde! Pupusas were created by the Pipiles, the native Indians from El Salvador (from Pipil pupusawa), are a traditional Salvadoran dish whose origin stretches back centuries. A pupusa is a handmade corn tortilla delicately filled with a unique blend of ingredients and then cooked on the grill. They are served with an aged pickled cabbage called curtido, and tomato sauce or salsa, and are traditionally eaten by hand. Pupusas go great with a side of sweet fried plantains!
