“looking for genealogical information or a huge collection of Native American artifacts?”
The Cedar County Historical Society is here to serve you...are you looking for geneological information, interested in local history, or want to see a huge collection of Native American artifacts? We've got it all, so stop in to the museum and visit a while! The museum is open Tuesday & Thursday 10 AM - 4 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM - 2 PM. The Society was founded in 1958 to celebrate and preserve our history. Currently we have about 350 members from all corners of the United States, and some very exciting new developments! The Bedbug schoolhouse, Blacksmith Shop, and South Bethel Church have been moved to the museum grounds. These three buildings join the 1842 Fraseur cabin that is already on the grounds. Our "Prairie Village" is taking shape!
