Ratings Summary
Middle of nowhere seep lake that has a primitive boat launch. Camping spots seem very compact and tent oriented, but you could get a trailer in, or somewhere around the well cared for BLM facility. Here is the possible snag, the road in and out is pretty darn steep. I would not attempt it with a big rig. Fishing, yes. Awesome remote camp spot....not our speed. Also near another BLM area called Lakeview Ranch that is also middle of nowhere scabland hiking or horse riding places that may interest those folks. Not us. AT&T only out this way.
Stayed 6/19/20 to 6/21/20. There are basically 5 spots that small trailers (>23') & truck campers can fit into. There is a parking area for day use fishermen and their truck & fishing boat trailer that shouldn't be used for camping. However, we put our tow vehicle out there at night.
Picnic tables and fire rings for each site. Don't expect privacy, electric, or water. There is a port a potty and a building with a toilet. (Probably but didn't use). While it is tight and privacy is in short supply, the end areas afford more in the way of privacy with the spot closest to the bathroom the largest.
The hill is steep(ish). It is grooved so- to-speak to facilitate traction. A guy in a 40' converted Bluebird bus didn't have any issues when I was there.
The lake is peaceful and full of life. Birds galore! Floating in our kayak on that water was just what was needed to disconnect from this crazy time we're going and enjoy but dont tell too many people. Haha
We got Sprint LTE at the top of the hill with my Note 8 but nothing with my Galaxy A50. I had to drive .5 miles to get signal on that phone. (Notes have great antennas)
