Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 29, 2023This spot was perfect for an overnight. I would only stay with an RV- Probably way to dusty for a tent. This has only 2 or 3 spots. We pulled in at 7 p.m. and got a spot. It is 1.5 hours from Capital Reef and we could get WIFI. A number of other spots we could not get a good connection.
We were the only ones there on a Tuesday night in April. The parks are full.

Only about 3 camping spots total and one big pull off area farther down by the shooting range. Views of the mountains are pretty and there are some cool looking rock formations nearby. It does get kind of windy and dusty, so I probably wouldn’t recommend for tent camping. Full bars of signal and the cellphone tower is nearby so I didn’t have any problem with the internet. Good place to stay for a few days, not for super long-term.

After passing through the overcrowded Capital Reef area on a Friday we found this little gem. Just a short way up Gun Range Rd we discovered the first easily accessible site with a rock fire ring. It’s JUST off the dirt road in, but very little traffic… 3 vehicles all evening/morning. The whole pull out was nice flat rock and made a nice site. Gorgeous views of the red rocks!

This is unmarked but not too hard to find. Very quiet since I was the only one there. Great cell service. Good views of the mountains and redrocks. There’s a great hamburger joint a few miles away.

We camped here for a few nights.
For big rigs there are not many level spots for smaller RV's there are many.
It is quiet and the nights are full of stars.
Convenient base central located for trips to Capitol Reef, Goblin Valley, Little Egypt, Wild Horse canyon and lot's of places to go off road with ATV's
