We spent four nights here camped next to our son’s trailer in a double campsite (60 & 61) and had a great time. The combined sites were large, but we had to do some leveling. Electric only sites, but there are water spigots scattered around to get more water from. The water tastes fine, but is kind of a brown color. I filtered it and did not notice any brown. The camp hosts were very nice, friendly, accommodating and helpful. Mule deer wandered through and almost into our campground daily. My son is a professional fly fishing guide and said the Taylor river just below the Taylor Lake Reservoir (beautiful lake across the road and down the hill from the campground) is one of the highest rated trout streams in the state. He proved it by catching several nice trout with his fly fishing outfit. We also saw several other fishermen catch some huge trout. This is a catch and release stream. The weather averaged upper seventies in the daytime and low forties at night. Lovely, beautiful days!! The area is an ATV, mountain bike and 4-wheeler mecca, but it was not disturbing in the campground.
We have the Senior Pass, so our rate was $18 a night. Our son paid $28 a night. There is no dump at the park. We saw a sign outside the park that advised there was a dump station in five miles, but I have no clue where it is. This is a beautiful area!! Peaceful and quiet at night with lots of stars. 9,550’ elevation, so my wife and I being from the east coast of Florida and living at 30’ above sea level these days, found ourselves frequently gasping for air. LOL. Come prepared with food and water —the closest grocery store is 32 miles away in Gunnison and 22 miles of that is at 40 mph or less winding down from the campground to Almont, CO. We highly recommend this campground.

We have camped here each of the last three summers. Excellent facilities. 20 sites with electricity; 20, 30, and 50 amp. Several pull throughs that can accommodate large rigs. Water available. Electricity adds $8 a night. No senior discount on electricity. Deer, elk, bear, and cougar have all visited the park during our stays. Excellent access to ATV trails. Lake and river fishing. Boat ramp at marina below campground. Couldn’t ask for a better place.

Excellent host Mr. Bill. Campground is well taken caring of. Mr Bill is doing a great job there. Our loop had electricity. There is water but not at each site. Other 2 loops are a dry camping. Dump station is about 5 miles away and cost $8.00. We used the cell booster at this campground.

Can’t say enough about this camp. The view is just amazing. Showed up without a reservation. There were a few sites open. They do have power site but they book fast from what I was told. I have a off grid camper so it wasn’t needed. Park host were awesome. Pit toilets we’re clean.

We stumbled upon their campground coming out of Aspen., We arrived in the dark and were pleasantly surprised the next morning. We are heading back to the area and making this a destination.
