We have a 30 ft fifth-wheel and drove through this campground as the Groveland ranger said it would work for our rig. The spots are small and designed more for tents. There was one or two sites we probably could have gotten into, but there wasn't anything appealing to us. Very few sites, expensive for dry camping, host site looked trashy.
You can disperse camp on forest service roads for free, but we did not see any we felt comfortable exploring with our rig. Ended up deciding to stay at Dimond O (see review there). No service on ATT.

Pay in cash or cheque at the entrance.
A warden lives on site who sells wood.
Was wet when we visited but it was spring and it was still dry enough to pitch the tent.
Only a small number of sites available but there was plenty of space when we arrived with a mix of tents and RVs. Good sized sites for RVs.
Each site has a picnic table and fire pit.
Drop toilets and no showers.
Just off the main road to the NP but not too noisy.

About 1 hour from Yosemite Valley. $24 Dollar for a campground without any amenities is a bit overpriced. But the hosts were very nice and we would come back.

Basic dry camping, and no amenities, so the price is just for the proximity to Yosemite, and worth it for that. There is not a lot of shade however, so be prepared for heat in the summer. We have a 30 ft, and there are only a couple of spots for a rig that size in this small campground. I will say that the camp host is amazing, so kind and helpful. The pit toilets are the cleanest I have ever seen. A bit close to the road, but again location is everything.

Nothing fancy about these sites, but close to Yosemite, clean toilets, and great staff. Would definitely stay again when heading east. Several great day use areas close by.

Great access to Yosemite with additional day use opportunities close by. Basic dry camping sites with a great view of the sky. Very friendly, active host. Spotless bathrooms. Our site had a pretty decent slope so it took a lot to level our camper so be prepared for that. Most of the campground is on a slope.
Surprisingly good AT&T service. 2 bars but 80 - 100 down and 5 - 8 up. Worked a day from the campground.
Will definitely return.

This little campground has been peaceful and relaxing. Sites are spread out nicely with well kept areas. The sites are not all on even ground but easy to deal with. The Host is exceptional and friendly. Bathroom's are clean .

Good campground, best thing is the proximity to Yosemite. A few sites have some shade part of the day, but most are full sun. The vault toilets are pretty far from most sites, so best if you have your own. No hookups or showers. Do not pick site #7 if you have an RV. The driveway is a slope to the side. We spent a lot of time trying to get our 21' trailer even somewhat close to level, and it was no dice. We did the best we could, but would pick a different site in the future. Pretty much any other site would be better for level. You do get road noise, especially during the day as it is one of the main roads into Yosemite. Fairly quiet at night, though. Do not expect to roll in without a reservation during the summer months. Cell coverage is sometimes great and sometimes not as great, but I was able to browse the internet most of the time.
