Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on April 21, 2023Staff was friendly, but the space was very open and unshaded. Fine for an RV, but not great for tents. Also, it was so windy that we couldn't get our tent set up and opted for a cabin. (Which was very nice.) The staff said the wind was pretty common, so be careful if you camp by tent!
Indeed, this place has a jungle gym for kids, a fenced dog run, and a small swimming pool. Alas, it is a dirt and gravel parking lot on the side of the interstate. At best, this is a slight upgrade from the Walmart parking lot if you are in a pinch. 5 stars for utility and access from the interstate, but no stars for atmosphere. Therefore, a 2.5 (have to pick between 2 or 3 so I'm going with 2).
Good for an RV. Not so much for a tent or pop up. Extremely windy. Good amenities and served its purpose.
Nice place to stay. Clean, quiet, friendly hosts. Fenced in off leash dog area, a plus for our family.
Rock Springs is High Desert in WY. The KOA has managed for the wind that is always there. The pull thru spots are nice. The dog run and areas around the KOA to walk your dog are wonderful. We had lots of good walks.
I was visiting Rock Springs for significant amounts of time during the last two summers and was treated wonderfully by the staff and owner. I look forward to going back there again.
The only improvement could be in WIFI that is easier to access and without data limits but I still managed to watch a few TV shows online that were not available on the cable TV.

We stayed here to get off the road in a March snowstorm. They have 10 sites or so that are open all year with water hookup, so it's a good stopover. Even if the water hose freezes! Bathrooms were clean.

This was a convenient stop-over for one night on our way from CO to Grand Tetons. The sites were too close together and the way they have you park at an opposite direction of your neighbor means you share an outdoor seating area which can be awkward. The worst part is they charge extra for kids. Hotels do not charge extra for us to have our 2 kids in the room with us. I don't understand why some campgrounds charge extra for our kids to stay in our RV. That is not family-friendly at all. I am really starting to dislike KOAs because they are already overpriced to begin with and then the "kid tax" just makes it ridiculous. There are many more true family friendly campgrounds out there, especially state parks that are a fraction of the price.

For the price of this site you would think we would get a little more space!
This is a perfect campground for a quick overnight though it is pricey. Everything else said by previous reviews is correct, tight spots but you have beautiful views of the mountains out your windows (as long as the RV next to you is shorter than your windows!)
It is close to Flaming Gorge and the Wild Horse preserve so it does give you something to do in the area.
Check in was smooth and quick, bathrooms ok, workout room has really old equipment but it looks like it will work.

We stayed in early August for two nights in our brand spanking new AirStream! Our site was 48 and we had a beautiful view of the mountains. The sunsets each night were incredible. The sites are tight but they have an awesome dog park with grass and nicely kept. We drove around the area & saw some of the Flaming Gorge Nat'l area. We want to stay at the Firehole State park next time. This is nice campground we would stay again.

RVs are packed in pretty tightly and you share a common space with your neighbor. Sites were clean but close. Nice view of the mountains to the north but you see ugly storage tanks to the south. I-80 noise was better than expected.
The showers and laundry facilities were clean however four of the six washing machines were out of order. I appreciated the doggie play area. Itwas a good place to let the four-legged friends romp.
I had no problem getting onto their Wi-Fi and had a strong signal
