Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on May 30, 2021This is the driest of dry camping but you can't beat the views. It's a great alternative to the encampments at the Temple Mountain BLM campgrounds further down the road. The turnoff is easy, just about 1000 yards from Goblin Valley Road - drive up to the main parking area which is flat and surrounded by boulders. The road continues further out to a point where I saw another rig. I didn't go further out to see where the road ended up.

Easy access up to this elevated mesa, room for several campers. Area was clean, level and absolutely silent. No other campers or vehicles came through the area during my 2 day stay. Views are spectacular with Pronghorn roaming about the area. This is a dry site but vault toilets are available at the Temple Hills Campground about 1 mile away. BLM fee free with 14 day maximum stay.. No services in the area. Good solar production..

I temporarily set up camp here. Was pleased at the views and the fact I was alone although I could see many rigs off to the west. But I changed my mind.
There is absolutely no wind break and the trailer was whistling and shaking from a moderate wind. I Relocated just down the road to the west with the other campers. That area had decent mountains sheltering the site. It also had a couple of pit toilets whereas this site does not.

We arrived just before dark and checked out the state park with is nice if you don’t have a toad. No pull thru sites and no services, so $35 for a table and shelter. This site however, is up a small grade, putting at the top of everything. Stars were wonderful, mild breeze made it very enjoyable. Sunrise was spectacular. There was a slight haze which is standard these days in the west. I would highly recommend this site for anyone. We have AT&T and had 2 bars and none at the SP. Also, I walked about 1/2 mile out on the trail and found 5 smaller sites that would be fine for 4x4 or class B or even higher vehicles. Much past that and it gets a bit rough.

Stayed here two nights in mid-October. There were over two dozen other RVs camping out in various areas. Views are decent but not spectacular unless you want to sacrifice cell coverage for better views (I do remote work so need a cell signal). However, access is easy (unless you wander farther in and it's still pretty decent). Lots of areas across many square miles throughout although BLM acreage was donated to Goblin Valley State Park so someday this may no longer be free. Anyway, highly recommended if you're in the area and want a decent free place to camp.

Arrived for a solo night after Bryce Canyon, easy to find as per gps. Nice view of mountains and buttes. Minute away from Goblin Valley. Was in full sun but lots of wind to help cool you down. Quiet and peaceful. Had cell service.
