Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on October 24, 2023We stayed here for two days on our travels. Upon entering the gates the RV park is clean & well groomed. Everyone was friendly & so accommodating when we requested to stay an extra day with only having one night reservations. We could not have had a better site, backed up to Lake Grapevine with a nice, wide cement pad, newer picnic table, newer, convenient hookups.
We road our bikes around the park & every area was clean & well groomed. The RV park is also close to Starbucks & one of the best barbecue restaurants Barkley’s BBQ.
There is a general store on site again friendly staff, paddle board, kayak, bikes, golf cart rentals and the RV park has its own boat launch. I highly recommend a stay hear the next time you are near or come stay for the weekend.
Great place. We're local to the area and come here just for a quick getaway. Great staff, very clean campground, grand kids love the playground, gated 24x7 so fewer worries about who is here thar shouldnt be. Peaceful place. Lots to do around this area if you want to get out.

This is the absolute best campground in the DFW area. It is a well maintained park right in the heart of everything. There are beautiful views of Grapevine Lake, just across the cove from one of the lakes most popular marinas. This is also located down the street from Grapevine Main St and Historical district. Staying here puts you right in the heart of Dallas/Fort Worth, with easy access to everything, but is secluded enough to make you feel like you are out of town. There is plenty of space for big rigs and full hookups at every site.

We were in Grapevine for a business trip and needed somewhere relatively central to stay for a few days. The Vineyards Campground and Cabins were perfect for our needs. While right in the middle of Grapevine and the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, you can almost believe you are out in the country.
The spots are extremely large with many spots looking out onto the water. However, there are very few established trees so you won’t get any privacy from your neighbors. The spots are paved and extremely level. The hookups are modern and easy to use.
Since we were only there for three days, we never really used the facilities, but everything we saw was extremely clean and tidy. The WIFI is technically only available on the east side spots, but with our WIFIRanger, we were able to easily see the connection. That said, this was pretty standard park WIFI with speeds hovering at 1Mbps and slower. Good enough for light use, but not very practical for work purposes.
There is one downside to the campground which will definitely spoil the countryside vibe. If the wind is blowing out of the south, you may find yourself right in the flight path of airplanes landing at DFW airport. This was the case on our first night and it can be a pretty constant rumble. Not deafening, but you will certainly notice it.
All in all, this was a very nice campground that met our specific needs. Generally, we don’t need or want to camp this close to a city, but it was a nice place when we needed it.

We are here because of work, so this is a very clean and centrally located campground. We enjoy being near the lake as Eric enjoys fishing and he can run down and make a couple casts when he gets home from working.
My true ideal of camping is a little more out in nature and not so expensive, so if we weren't here for work we probably wouldn't choose to stay here.
It is run very efficiently and the camp hosts are all very nice.

This is 1 of the nicest county parks we have stayed at. It has the spaciousness of a campground but the amenities of a private park. The landscaping is nice, everything is new and well taken care of. The staff is present but not intrusive and puts a lot of care into the maintenance of this campground.
The location is about 30 minutes drive from downtown Dallas and the town of Grapevine is very cute with some shopping and dining. There's a really cool park (Oak Grove Park) which is a couple of miles away. It has tons of walking trails, a really cool fenced in dog park and plenty of space for outdoor activities.
The campground itself had plenty of room to stretch your legs and an off leash dog area by the lake. There is also a small sandy swimming beach. There was a small walking trail through the woods and overall it's a pet friendly place except for the stickers that get stuck in the dog paws. Those are plentiful here.
The sites are level, paved 50 amp FHU with cable. Some of the lake front sites have a private deck right off the site. That was really cool and a great place to have a drink and relax.
Verizon was 5 d/l, ATT was 20d/l and T mobile was 15 d/l without a booster. I didn't try their free wifi.
There is no onsite propane but there's a delivery company that comes on Saturday and will fill your tanks for you. It's expensive though but it is a nice perk to have. You don't even have to be there when they fill it. Just call them in advance and get on the list and they'll pull right up to your RV and fill your tank.

This is a great campground. We totally splurged and got site 85, which we were told was probably the most popular site in the park. It was expensive and considered a premium spot but well worth it. There was a ton of space between sites and our family loved the peninsula-style site. The laundry area was very clean and the staff was quite accommodating. There is a propane truck that comes through weekly so check with the desk when that happens, if you need propane. The park is also gated after hours, which is always a nice feature. Some people mention the plan noise but they land over this park most of the time.

Yes, it is expensive. But, we got possibly the best site + amenities we have ever had. We stayed here to be close to family on a camping "tour" through the area. It's actually not that expensive if you understand that in the Grapevine area you will not get a decent hotel room for less than $180/night. Anyway, the other reviews cover things pretty well. If you love lake views, the more expensive sites might be worth it, but we got great views at one of the less expensive sites. If you don't care about being in Grapevine or on the south side of the lake, you might want to check out Twin Coves Campground in Flower Mound (north side of the lake).

We stayed here briefly but will definitely be back. While the park is on the pricey side even with Good Sam discount it was a nice splurge. We had site 80 which was a pull thru right along Grapevine Lake. It was so relaxing watching the geese, ducks and birds on the lake. I think it was our cats favorite place to for that reason. :)
The park is exceptionally clean and well maintained.
Although we were very close to DFW the planes really didn't bother us, just occasional noise but you could get that anywhere.
We did drive through Grapevine but did not have time to explore like we wanted since my husband had to travel for business a couple days. We will definitely be back to do that and explore the wineries nearby.
