Limpy Botanical Interpretive Loop Trail is a short loop through a botanically rich, serpentine area. A number of benches are located along the trail, creek side, and overlooking the Rogue Valley. Interpretive signs describing the rich diversity of plants found in the area are located along the trail. Plan to spend some time enjoying yourself along this trail.
My husband and I just moved up here to grants Pass two months ago. We took a drive out to the Limpy Creek Trail Head to walk our two dogs. The terrain was absolutely beautiful, however, for us being seniors, it was rougher than expected, and very wet, due to it being winter. It was not an easy walk for us and we had to turn around and go back after a short walk.
We also found it a bit frustrating in trying to follow the trail, which was not marked with any sort of signage of any kind for us to follow. It was unclear what was trail and what was not.
We will give it a try again in spring or summer when the ground is not so wet and hopefully it will be easier to walk then. I again want to mention that it was an absolutely beautiful walk otherwise.
Love this trail, my boys enjoyed our little hike
This was great for our family. We brought our 3yo and 5yo and they did the hike easily and had a great time. This is well worth the drive!!!
