“Established in 1950”
Low budget, pet friendly motel... Sands Motel is an independently owned vintage motel on Old 66 where many famous singers such as Elvis Presley and Kerry Grombacher enjoyed staying. Room 123 is known as "Elvis Presley Room" as that was the room he enjoyed staying in. Till date you will find many pictures of him in his room along with his marriage certificate. Furthermore, Kerry Grombacher released his CD called Sands Motel as he was struck with how proliterate Sands Motels are along America's byways. In 2001, he performed a benefit evening concert in the parking lot of Grants' Sands Motel. Trushna manages and maintains all year or seasonal lodging facilities. She greets and registers guests; shows, rents, and assigns rooms. She answer customers' questions, makes them feel at home, and builds on-going relationships.
We stayed in Elvis' old room #123 last night! The couple that owns the motel could not have been nicer. The room was clean and very nice - dated of course - but nice. If you are ever passing through check to see if room 123 is available.
