Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on May 30, 2024As everyone has stated, it is incredibly noisy. But u kinda know that going in. With that said we were placed at the south end of the park right past where the privacy fence ends? Not sure if that wooden fence helps but road noise could be less on the North end if u should request it. Ironically this is not just a busy street but a busy highway with an entry nearby so people are “hotrodding” trying to get up to speed to join traffic and there were lots of semis. We couldnt really hear the movie we were trying to watch. So we read instead and the traffic nois was minimal later in the night. I actually slept well. We also took heed to others warnings regarding the speed limit as we were recently warned at another MI camground (must be a MI thing, as it was 11pm and we were doing 10mph but he felt compelled to come and threaten us about it so..) with all that said, the staff here were actually super friendly and nice. Everything looks well kept contrary to the “run down” comments we had read earlier. Bathrooms were actually the cleanest we’ve stayed in in three days. Grounds were manicured and curiously there appears to be many “long term storage” sites that were exceptionally well maintained compared to other places with “month to month” availability. I wouldnt say everything happened to be freshly pained either, just well kept. So friendly staff, nice grounds, clean (bleachy smelling) bathrooms and lots of dinner choices within walking distance was one star each minus the one for noise.

I’m think it’s a nice campground. I stayed from a Sunday to Saturday. Booked online and check in was super easy. The grounds were clean and well maintained. There’s lots of shade and mature trees. There are a bunch of smaller sites near the front for tents and pop ups. Some seasonal sites but they mostly all looked very nice. There were a good amount of amenities like 2 bathrooms with showers, one in front, one in the back. Laundry, wifi, a camp store and a bunch of games like volleyball, basketball, pickle ball, corn hole and big connect 4s. Service wasn’t great on my cell and iPad but the wifi came in handy. I did have decent service on my hotspot and had no problem working during the week. Now for the not so great. One, some sites share a power pedestal so your connections might be on the wrong side depending on what site you book. Luckily, I just pulled in instead of backing in so it wasn’t a problem for me. You might need an extension cord and long hose though. The other thing is, the only thing separating this campground from 31 is a wooden privacy fence. And there are traffic lights so its not just a hum of cars driving by, they’re breaking and accelerating. Trucks and motorcycles were very noticeable. There are also train tracks but I only saw one train going slow with only a couple of cars attached. My point is, it’s constant noise. I would say, if you’re looking for a base camp to explore the areas, this is a great option. If you’re looking for some peace and quiet, keep looking.

This was a very well-maintained campground in what I would call an urban location. I gave 4 stars just because of the loud traffic noise (it is next to a highway), but the location was very convenient for visiting the area and had many many stores and restaurants nearby. We were in site 31P and it was a nice, good-sized site. We were just in the area visiting family so weren’t really there to enjoy a camping experience, but would stay again! They do have a small playground and “community center” with games such a corn hole, a large connect 4 game, etc. We did not have time to utilize this area, but it looked nice. We did not go into the bathrooms at all so can’t comment on those.
