I was a little underwhelmed with the museum, but it may be because I was tired and it was hot in there. It did have a cool model of the entire canyon and the glass view was spectacular. Very small and crowded. We walked the rim trail from Mather point to the museum with good views.
This small museum perched on the edge of the south rim at Yavapai Point afford spectacular views with an entire wall of glass. There are plenty of benches where you can enjoy the view safe from the elements. There is a wonderful museum that gives a great overview of the geological history of the Grand Canyon. There is also a small gift shop attached.
Don't miss the Park Ranger talks! You'll learn a lot on how the Grand Canyon came to be and some geological history. Talk counts for the Ranger Program requirement for the Junior Ranger Program. Plenty of parking with less crowded sweeping views.
