“feel the need for speed!”
The Pacific Northwest’s only ½ Mile Dual Alpine Slide, this major attraction sends you flying down a half mile track of twists and turns through mountain meadows before dropping you back off in the base area of Skibowl West. Two side-by-side tracks let you ride alongside family and friends as you take banked turns, S-curves and hairpin thrills at the speed of your choice.Start with a leisurely trip up the mountain on the Scenic Sky Chairs, and then prepare for a roller coaster ride down the mountain. You’ll drop 350 feet over the half mile ride with average speeds around 20 MPH as you wind your way down the track. Speeds of up to 37 MPH have been reached but with the brakes at your fingertips, you’re always in control.
This place ended up being a full day of fun for my family. Be warned though that you will pay plenty for this fun though. Most of my family ended up doing the bungee jump, which we never thought we would have done. We also did the high-line tree top course. It was scarier than it looks from below. There is an east and west side to visit with a free bus to shuttle between. The best fun was the toboggan runs which you can do all day for one price. Be careful though as too much speed will cause you to crash and get hurt.
When the snow melts, Skibowl turns into a Summer Adventure Park with over 20 attractions including: 1/2 mile dual alpine slide, indy karts, bungee, mountain bike park with 40+ miles of trails, bike rentals & tours, automated batting cages, frisbee, and 18 hole mini golf. Of course, if you do come here in the winter, Skibowl does offer the country's largest night ski area...
