Open from 8am to 8pm in June and August and 9pm to 6pm in May and September with admission free of charge. The Sod House Museum is an authentic re-creation of the sod houses built by early settlers in the region. The experience culminates in awe-inspiring barbed-wire art including a life-size buffalo and a horse with native American rider. The Sod House Museum also sports one of the world's largest plows. It wasn't open when we went so we were only able to see it from the outside. It was meat though and directly off the highway and with a gas station across the street so easy peasy stop. Read more
