Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on April 24, 2023Lots of amenities for families. General store had lots of snacks, drinks, bait, rv supplies, pool floaties and lots more. Staff was friendly and obeyed all covid-19 sanitation. Located right on the Illinois River for trout fishing. Many sites and they have staff out all the time cleaning and checking on things most sites have full hook ups some water and electric sites site 214 and 215 are not very level.Sites are about 50 50 gravel concrete. They have golf carts you can rent and if you go on weekend keep your eye open they are everywhere and do not obey the speed limit. we loved our stay and will definitely be back. Weekend cell service and WiFi very laggy but Monday was better service.

Booked modern river-view campsite (#315) for $90/night. Back-in site with excellent view of the river and full hookups. Rear of the rig needed almost 7 inches of leveling but expected on riverfront site without concrete pad. Also pre-paid for firewood and golf-cart use. Wouldn’t recommend booking golf-cart the first day unless you intend to check-in before 4:30 pm.
Kiddos enjoyed the assortment of activities from rock painting, tie-dye, ceramic painting, bird houses, jumping pad, parks, open spaces, train tour and movie night!
Days were quiet, mornings and evenings peaceful. Enjoyed interacting with the friendly staff at the general store. Full of snacks, drinks, fishing supplies, fuses and other random assorted RV stay items.
Enjoyable stay with a little something for everyone.

RV park has a lot of RV sites not all paved mixed with cabins. We stayed in site 121 which had plenty of shade to where branches rubbed on the top of our class C. Our site was not paved and I was happy it did not rain because of the fear of getting stuck. The park is off the road plenty of quite at night, children and golf carts running everywhere during the day. Most of the people that use this park probably live between 150 miles of it. I think a large number either live there full time or leave a trailer there. They have Wi-Fi that was excellent at our site and cable at our full hookup site. Because they have so many locals use this park they have a problem with people slipping in without paying so they make you wear a plastic armband. I looked online and I could buy 75 of different colors for 30 bucks. They have an access code to get through the main gate without no guard so someone can share the code and let their friends in. The women that work at the front checkin desk was rude and was not at all helpful. I have never used cable on my RV before and when I called I was treated badly and told them I needed to come up there and buy a new cable. A nice man named John came by while I was struggling with it and told me I had to turn off my Wineguard system for the cable to work. The rates jump Thursday through Sunday by 20 dollars.
