“hospitality the way it used to be”
Frank Gooding founded this charming city following his second term as Idaho’s sixth governor. He later served as a United States Senator from Idaho, passing away in the middle of his second term. The space that comprises this large suite was once two, perhaps three, separate rooms in the original hotel. It now accommodates a sumptuous king-sized bed flanked by antique tables. A focal point of the room is an early 1900's "gentlemen’s chest". Quilt-covered queen and twin-sized beds, cable television and antique furnishings fill the other portion of the suite.. Framed vintage newspaper clippings tell of Gooding history and the death of the beloved statesman. There is also a closet and an en suite bathroom which features a 1900 china pedestal sink, a 1917 "stubby" clawfoot tub, and a rare "pillbox" toilet that is dated 1899. This is our most requested room.
