Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 31, 2023Lobster Creek Campground offers 7 sites total. 2 suitable for under 17ft trailer. 5 tent sites. No group sites. Gravel bar is day use ONLY.
We have hosted here for several months, and this is a small, but busy campground.
Sites are $10.00 per night. Inter-Agency Senior Passes or Access Pass offer a 50% discount on camping, and there is a 14 day/year limit. There are seven sites, which are mostly tent sites, but several are suitable for small RV's or pop-ups. Sites are gravel/grass.
The entrance restroom is open 24/7, and the lower restroom is open for campers, who are given the combination to the doors, which are changed quite frequently. The water is Potable, and is available at two points within the campground. Electricity is not available for RV's or Tents, but outlets are available in the restrooms.
Verizon cell service is somewhat available and AT&T service is not available in the campground. Otherwise, a person needs to be at the right place to get a Verizon signal, and it comes and goes.
Access to the Rogue River is excellent, with a very busy boat ramp at the edge of the campground.
Highway traffic is fairly busy with log trucks during the day.

Cons first, there's a ton of boater traffic, mice nested in the glovebox, jerry's rogue jets is a little eccentric with their pass throughs, no trash, dogs not lashed, grumpy boaters arguing and people were staying free without consequence even with routine patrols 9am to 7pm by police, parks and the host.
Pros are the bathrooms, drinking water, river view, river sounds, bridge view, skipping stones all around the river, affordability and Verizon signal is decent at site 7.
It's the rogue. It's worth a stay.

We stopped here in our way back to Arizona from Oregon. Decided to drive the PCH and stopped in Gold beach. This was a great place to stop and relax for the night (would stay longer if we could.) Our 16’ Bambi fit perfectly in site #6, near the Rogue River.

Small park. Site 6 is the only site that would fit a larger rig. Bathrooms clean with flush toilets. Small, clean and close to river. It was fun watching people jump off the rock into the river. I only give it 4 stars due to all the noise from the road and to the boat dock. I did not have cell service (verizon). The river is absolutely gorgeous here. stayed here July 20, 2018. All sites were occupied. We stayed here in a truck camper (our 31 foot fifth wheel would also fit but nowhere else here)

Nice, quiet. Rate is $15 / $7.50 with senior pass. Easy walk down to the Rogue River from the back of the campground. There is a boat ramp here and some dry camping** down on the gravel along the river though I **couldn't ascertain if it was legal; got mixed answers. I was in Site #5 which is on a little promontory and a bit more secluded with a good view over the river. All of the higher # sites are pretty private. The highway wraps the campground so there was a little road noise, but not bad. Clean restrooms with water and power. I picked a lot of Oregon blackberries which were in season at the time (August 2022). Its about 20 minutes into Gold Beach for supplies. BTW: there is a great RV/car wash on Harbor Way across from Woggys (which is a great Fish'n'Chips place). I would stay again.

Great little campground on the Rouge river. Yes it is busy as there is a boat ramp here but it quites down at night and is very peaceful. Flush toilets (could use better cleaning) and potable water. But the best part are the Oregon blackberries everywhere. (Late July) We picked three quart bags. But they do come with a price. Thorns so be careful. As mentioned site 6 is your best bet for a larger rv. We have a 27' trailer and it fit nicely and the site was fairly level. There are 2 other sites that could handle a mid size MH. There is no camping on the gravel bar down on the river and be careful it you drive on it as it is soft. 4wd only! Mosquitoes were manageable and the temps in late July were very pleasant. There is 1 bar of Verizon on the boat ramp and could not find a signal for the other cell providers. Not a bad thing. Enjoy your stay at Lobster creek.
