We stayed two nights at Two Moons Campground in late June, the camp sites are well spaced, clean, quiet, and very peaceful surroundings. We were about a 100 feet from the cliff with a great view of the reservoir below and beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed hiking the trails in the campgound and along the reservoir.

We reserved an electric campsite to give our generator a rest. The park has nice hiking trails around the rim of the lake which are gorgeous at sunset. The campsite is large and wide with plenty of space for our 23’ rig.

Easy access from I-25. Check in at kiosk for your tag. Sites are well spaced with trees in between. There are thirteen 50 amp sites on the SE side, all are pull thrus. During the week, we were almost all alone, maybe 3-4 other sites were occupied. No showers in the park that I could find. Get water at the dump station as you come in. Most sites, including pull thrus are not level, but we leveled our rig with some effort. Only a couple restaurants back at the I-25 entrance. No park employees, including the camp host, were around during the week.

Good hiking right from the campground. There were several flocks of turkeys roaming the area.

Great AT&T cell service, all bars of 5G.

Getting to the park is easy. After exiting I25, directions to the park are well marked. Once in the park there is very good signage pointing to the campgrounds, day use areas, boat ramps, and trails.
Glendo State Park actually has 6 different campgrounds.
We stayed at Two Moon Campground on a Sunday and Monday night in June. We did not have a reservation, but one was not necessary when we arrived on a Sunday evening. This may be different on the weekend, but we found the park to be empty and quiet on the weekdays we were there.
Our selection of campground was based on access to the mountain bike trails. Our site had a beautiful view of the lake, and trail access right from the site, so it was perfect for us, and it is up high on a bluff with a great view of the lake. If your intent is to have direct access to the lake from your campsite, you’ll want to look into the other campgrounds at the park like the Sandy Beach Campground.
The park's main focus is the Reservoir which allows power boating, but we were there to mountain bike on the extensive trail system. We mountain biked on the trails and found a great mix of easy and intermediate trails. All trail intersections were well marked.
Our campsite was clean, quiet and private. The bathrooms are pit toilets which were clean and did not have a bad smell. There was a water spigot at the bathroom so you could take water to your campsite.
We had mule deer wander through our campsite several times. While biking we saw huge turtles in the North Platt river, a garter snake, more mule deer, and quite a few raptors that we were not skilled enough to identify.

We stayed at Two Moon Campground in early May. Apparently, this is an awkward time: no camphosts and the entire staff was out of the park for training. Normally not a problem, especially for a Sunday and Monday night stay. But reservations are required for some sites, including all electric sites, beginning May 1, which was not obvious from the online information. We had to use Reserve America, because no one was there. We did, and had a very peaceful Sunday night. Monday we had an issue with another camper who claimed we had his site. It was resolved, but would have been easier if someone were there.
If you are in a larger rig, enter the campground at the third entrance. Most of the electric sites are near the road. None are really level, but we got close. Sites 25-29, 37, 45-48, and 50-53 are electric. Potable water is only available at the dump station at this time of year.
Campground is lovely. Mountain bikers abound on weekends. Lots of multiuse trails, but not a lot of information about them.

Glendo is a huge State park with over 10 different campgrounds all around the Reservoir. Some of them are 10 miles apart from one another. We stayed at 2 moon campground and it sits way above the water. You have to walk at least 1/2 mile to get to the water. Other campgrounds are right at the water level. There are at least 10 official trails which go into all kinds of different eco systems. You can only reserve online with Reserve America. There are sites with electric but most are dry camping. There is a dump site and places to fill. We liked it a lot.
