Smith Hotel Bed and Breakfast

The Historic Smith Hotel, built in 1927, sits nestled between two mountains in Glendale, Utah. Originally built as a boarding house, this grand old structure now serves guests visiting both Zion and Bryce National Parks. The understated elegance of this old structure fits beautifully into the western atmosphere that’s so pervasive here in Southern Utah. Guests from around the world make Smith Hotel their headquarters when visiting the parks from Highway 89. The intimately cozy rooms, all with private baths, give travelers a restful place to wind down form long days visiting this special area. Smith Hotel appeals to both short stay travelers and those who stay several days really getting to know this area. Rochelle and Mike, your hosts, can provide lots of local knowledge helping you to get the most of your days with us. A large sumptuous breakfast is served at 8 a.m. each morning. Fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, juice, coffee, tea, cold cereal, breads, and a hot entrée give you an array of choices to start off your day. The grounds around the Smith Hotel are beautifully cared for by “Master Gardener” Rochelle. Several raised decks in the back yard provide visitors with restful areas after a day’s journey. Two large interior public areas provide guests with an evening card playing, reading, writing, puzzles, sowing, and whatever the guests’ heart’s desire. The Buffalo Bistro, located right next door, is a great cowboy restaurant that provides an evening meal for weary travelers five days a week (dark Tuesday and Wednesday).  We have a coin-op washer and dryer as well as a television in every room. Each room has its own private bath as well.
