We arrived on Sunday evening with no reservation and had no trouble getting a tent site.

Spent one night in a road trip west.
Pleasantly surprised. Pretty park with lake views from alot of sites. High water levels have messed up their trail system a little bit. Quiet stop over not far from highway. Was able to stream Netflix with cell hotspot.

Enjoyed hiking trail next to camp. Liked Lake Michigan views from trails. An older campground with close neighbors but well maintained.

Arrived later than expected, so we were unable to get a ice, but it wasn’t a necessity. The sites were large and many were pull through. There is a very nice beach and playground for kids. Bathrooms are were clean and well maintained.

We stopped overnight on our way through and just found this campground ok. If you are into crowded together spaces and loud people this is the place for you. We left right away the next morning. There’s a little beach and a bike trail that I am sure is nice. We decided to not unhook the bikes and try it this time. Just not for us.

Stopped a few nights as we made our way around Lake Michigan. Mix of electric only, W/E, and FH sites at decent rates. We only stayed a few nights so were on an electric only site which had decent spacing; full hookup sites were closer together. Showers (private room) were well maintained and clean. Small beach with a nice view on the bay. There's an asphalt plant almost across the street so that smell can be strong at times depending on the wind.
