Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on December 01, 2021We visit granite hill regularly and enjoy every trip. Bathhouses are well maintained, pool and surrounding area are clean, events/themes are good. Sites are “as described” according to size. The only downside is that the whole area is very hilly - so it’s difficult for the younger kids to ride bikes around.

We have stayed here many times. We are local to the area and GH is our favorite Gettysburg campground. There is room to love and you do not have that “parking lot” feeling. We prefer the B section but they are all nice and they have a variety of site options (tent, W/E, FHU). The staff is friendly and on the weekends they plan activities that are fun and easy to enjoy with your children. Their Halloween weekends are a must, if you are able to get in. The pool is also nice and their mini golf course is the best we have ever seen at a campground. Check-in can get a little backed-up, but GH tries their best to avoid this by welcoming campers before the scheduled check-in times when they can.
The only downside is that a few sites have sewer connections next to their picnic tables and there are some low-hanging trees. To avoid the smelly hook-up sites avoid staying at a “Post” site in the B section.

We managed to get a last minute reservation here after other plans fell through. Great customer service! Campground was really full over the weekend, but cleared out on the weekdays. Big storm came through on third night and we had some camper damage and campground lost electric and water. Very helpful with getting our camper fixed quickly and then moved us to 94 after electric and water didn’t come back on due to downed power lines. All staff was helpful and friendly and the campground is very clean. A little overgrown in places, but it helps with the outside feel.

With a little TLC this campground could be a standout campground. Out of 103 campsites in our loop there were only two campers staying here. It was during the week. Quiet and mostly level sites. Close proximity to Gettysburg.

On a whim, I called this campground to see if they had any availability for the weekend I wanted. The person I talked to was very friendly and accommodating.
This is a very nice little campground. A few of the sites look like they might be a little difficult to get into. I know mine was. Although the sites aren't quite level they aren't too bad. I only needed two leveling pads to get my camper level. Looking around I saw some campers that needed 8 or 10 inches of levelers. I think this should be expected as the campsite is on a hill.
I only dealt with one staff member. She was quite helpful. She could have been a little more friendly. In her defense she was very busy as this was a theme weekend.
We will be staying in this campground again. This is probably my second favorite campground in the area.

We stayed here just to visit Gettysburg. We had a nice site with good spacing between us and the neighbors. This campground is home to a large Music Venue, and has an amphitheater. There is a huge grassy area to walk your dog, but, it also has a tennis court (kind of old), dog turnout area (no bags), mini golf course (not well maintained but, cute), and a large pond with paddle boats (water was too low for any boating). There's a small restaurant/ pizza parlor, RV storage area, showers, and oh so many camping areas! There's a playground and a couple of group tent areas. Though these areas also accommodate RVs. I walked our dog around the perimeter of about 2/3 of the property and it took more than an hour! Now for the negative: the tree over our rig took out the cover over the stove as well as breaking a couple of the little vent covers.
***WARNING! ***This is about departing the place to the left. We followed Google directions to head south toward Virginia after our stay, and only drove a couple of miles when we came to a covered bridge. This bridge is 10' 6" tall and we are 12" tall. This was a near disaster, and we still had damage to one of our jacks. We had to back up into someone's driveway on this narrow 2 lane road and almost turned over in the bar ditch!

It gets very muddy but it was very pretty, and it was near Gettysburg (10 mins away)
Perfect for family bonding activities!
